Tiny octopus wrote a short story once, where people who froze their heads cryogenically were being revived and used as organic AI to run cities. From the perspective of the "AI", they were fixing up their house and gardening. Then one of them has a psychotic break and decides to burn their house down. And that reveals that what the everyman thought was a computer AI was actually a human once, and some wanted to free them, and some didn't care. And nothing changed in the end.
