That man was upset because his wife needed to use the rest room. His disabled wife who uses a chair. Hope he wasn't planning to enter the womens room to help her.
I have on occasion, and in the direst of circumstances, used the women’s restroom ( both times it was empty, and in a semi- remote place). It was either that or a trash can, because there was quite literally no stopping events at that point. I did this with full awareness that in a worst case I could end up in handcuffs, but again- there’s very little choice
And I think every dude who has ever hung out at a bar or club late night has totally understood when somebody has had to push past the line to grab a stall, or else we were all gonna have a mess.
How many times have I stood in line feeling physically uncomfortable while some dude jumped the line or some lady switched it up and took a stall in the gents because we all need to get it done in our own time?
The absolute irony in the gender + bathroom debate is, gendered bathrooms do not keep women safe. They alert predators to where they can find women out of view, relatively isolated, and probably distracted.
The risk is plainly obvious. Yet I have NEVER anywhere seen a panic button in a women's restroom, outside of hospitals which have them there for another reason.
People who object to neutral bathrooms for "women's safety" are full of shit.
Neutral, integrated bathrooms would be SAFER. The more traffic in and out, the less likely anyone's going to get froggy and need to get sklounced in the first place.
I agree. I think particularly mixed traffic would discourage predators who are more afraid of confrontation or being identified. Also increases the chance for an "active bystander" to be in the area. I also think it would hasten safety improvements.
I've taken my son's into the woman's restroom because the other was full and I didn't want them pissing themselves. A bathroom is a bathroom for everyone just like at home
This wasn't a problem in the first place. Assholes just want to make it one. And don't be fooled; they'll find a way to do this with gender-neutral bathrooms, too.
yeah, heck probably would of called cops on him even if he was taking them into the mens room, anyone looking for pedos unfortunately will conveniently "find pedos" in dads alone with their kids. cause there seems to be a weird stigma that if the mom isnt there too the dude with the kids must be a creep
At amsterdam aereoport I took my 3 year old dougter to women toilet and some women pissed off, the police women come to me and said. You did good , is not good for a 3 year baby go to the man toilet
Additional stupidity, the moron was saying that the guy should have asked the total stranger working at the store, to take his daughters into the bathroom because this would somehow be less offensive and/or strange.
I feel like the guy yelling would be the same kind of guy to yell "Not ALL men" while also implying that women are inherently safer than a child's own parent which is a weird double standard. I also saw a comment on Reddit by a guy saying he'd take his daughter into the men's room but beat the shit out of any guy who looked her way. Like great, now I have to worry about someone attacking my son for being a pervert by *checks notes* peeing in the men's room.
The worst part is, from watching the video, I guarantee this guy won't understand what he did wrong. He'll think the world is just so unfair to him, the hero, who got fired for doing the "right" thing (being an agressive asshole).
You pee. I pee. Children pee. Adults pee. Gay people pee. Straight people pee. Nice people pee. Trump supporters pee. Everyone pees. Humans just created their first trillionaire for colonising mars. Shouldn’t we have addressed peeing in fucking peace first? This is all very hitchhikers building
You forgot those in complete kidney failure do no pee, so not everyone pees! Checkmate liberal scum! And not I feel dirty for acting like a conservative :P
Only that trillionaire never intended nor intends to colonize mars, it was only ever just an act to get him that trillion dollars. What we actually need to do is send him off on one of his rocket ships to go colonize the sun. We should send all the billionaires with him too, since they are all so good at stuff and being the best and brightest at everything... they'll figure it out... maybe they can land at night when the sun is off.
Remember how they want to protect women and young girls from trans people that they claim are simply predatory men in drag? So who protects them from guys like this when fathers try to take them to the safest place? It's almost like they just hate women and don't care about the logic 🤷🏻♂️
The video is heartbreaking. One of the daughters is crying like she's getting in trouble and doesn't understand why. The dad did a great job, just kept doing what he went there to do, focused on caring for the girls.
This is why we just need unisex bathrooms and do away with all this mens/womens stuff. If you can share toilets on a plane and at home without a designated gender - do it everywhere. Stalls with latches floor to ceiling if it's a large scale bathroom, designate smaller ones unisex/family with changing tables and locks. Get rid of the point of conflict - gender designations. ONE SIZE FITS ALL (but please have the urinal that goes to the floor for little boys (Kwik Trip you do it right).
In *checks year* 2026, there should be only bathrooms, no gender specific ones. I understand though why women would want their own, as a man, men are fucking nasty. But I understand women can also be nasty in public restrooms, something about hovering.
I had a friend who worked as a janitor, who said the exact OPPOSITE. Men's restrooms could be bad, but at least they didn't have sanitary pads on the ceiling. She couldn't always say the same about the women's restrooms.
Having once cleaned public bathrooms for a living, I learned that both can be pretty nasty. It's more about which set of bathrooms gets used more. Women's bathrooms might look and smell better, but then you look under the toilet seat.
I found some nasty ass blod clot bullshit on top of the seats. The mens room might have had piss everywhere, but never shit on the seat. imo the womens was always worse and with just as much piss everywhere.
Yeah! Gurl if it don’t fit or you don’t wanna touch the trash just wrap it up in some toilet paper and throw it somewhwre else. Worse part was it was absolutely full, waiting in line to use the toilet, three out of order. I bet the people who treat public bathrooms like that are the ones who have decorative hand towels at home and fluffy toilet seat covers
I like that the guy with the cross t shirt got harassed by the conservative Christian. Makes me smile to see them eat their own. "How do you know the guy wearing the cross t shirt is also a religious nut?" Because darlings non religious nuts don't wear that shit.
"Because darlings non religious nuts don't wear that shit." Except for the ones who wear it as a disguise. I had a classmate back in school who bragged about shoplifting. He had a mohawk and a penchant for goth/emo outfits... but when he went stealing, he would put on a nice hat to cover the hair, slip into button shirts and jeans, and look as normal and nonthreatening as possible. Camoflauge.
(not saying the dad was in camo. I'm just pointing out that sometimes non-christians wear that stuff)
The damage that faux "Christians" have done to their church is way more devastating than any of us atheists could have accomplished in the last 4 decades.
Fun fact, this is why bathroom bills exist, they exist to punish any and all nonconformity, including single men who take care of daughters, stay-at-home dads whose spouses work, gay men with children, masculine-looking cis women, effeminate-looking cis men, and anything else outside the toxic masculine heteronormative patriarchy.
while i agree with what you said, im kind of glad it looks like its going to back fire hard on the conservatives chuds who thought they needed a bill like this after this guy got fired tying to enforce it. sadly i know its going to still hurt the people its meant to hurt but here is to hoping more often it hurts the babys that wanted it in the first place more
Gonna throw in they also exist as an easy way to pretend the govt is addressing women's safety concerns. By linking the idea of assaults to anyone violating the bathroom sign they can claim they are putting in place laws that make women safer... they can then ignore the fact that women are assaulted everywhere since "we are making bathrooms safe again".
Bingo. There aren't enough trans people actually existing for it to rise to the theoretical level that they claim. These bills are always about gender non-conformity, which does obviously include trans folks, but impact just as many cis folks if not more. Republicans are hateful but they're also stupid as all fuck.
Conservatives consistantly guess that 10% of the population is trans (according to studies) and the actual number is, of course, closer to 1-2%. But think about that in terms of a bathroom 'monitor.' If you think that 10% of the most gender non-conforming people coming into that bathroom are to be turned away ... you will be harrassing the wrong people 80-90% of the time EVEN IF you would get 'all' the trans people. That's what they would have to defend.
At no time in my life was I willing to put one of my children on any surface in a men's restroom. And I had opportunities to use the changing tables because they're not THAT uncommon in men's restrooms. But there is no way in hell.
In 2016 in the US the BABIES act (Bathrooms AccessiBle In Every Situation) was passed to require all men's restrooms to carry changing stations. If not that, a gender neutral family restroom for that purpose.
They've had 10 years now. If they haven't updated, get on the building owner, talk to local city council, etc., to get it updated. Many owners need to be forced to change; they won't spend the money until forced to.
In MN at least they are pretty good about having changing stations in both bathrooms Even better yet some stores have a family bathroom that locks. That has a toilet, urinal and changing table
CA restaurant manager here, there should be baby changing tables no matter the gender. We can't even have "Free Ladies Night" because it's discriminatory, there should be changing tables in each bathroom
fortunately, in minnesota, 20 years ago, i didnt really have an issue finding a table in a mens bathroom to change my son. its sad hearing a lot of dads do run into that issue in other areas
I managed a gas station that corporate was paying to have the bathrooms redone in. I begged them to put a changing table in both bathrooms. "No. If a man needs to change a baby's diaper, he can just use the women's room." "Can we put unisex signs on the doors then?" "No."
Europe here: you1 ask permission for what and have laws for huh? It's a bathroom, who cares. If anything ladies always like a dad with his daughters in a bathroom together. Have never felt uncomfortable anywhere but tbf we live in a big socialist city (like most western European ones)
Americans can't comprehend unisex or shared bathrooms. Everything must be segregated. Just ignore the fact that bathrooms at home aren't separated by gender.
Who cares? In the US, the conservatives and ultra-religious care, and they make a lot of noise over it too, doing their damnedest to make it everyone's problem.
The local malls and target had a separate single stall unisex specifically for situations like this. Either parents whose kids need escort or fathers of diaper clad feces fountains.
If cleanliness is the issue, the womens room is almost always worse- the mens room will have a little piss on a seat, the womens will have jelly sticks hanging from the ceiling. I've worked as a seasonal janitor, and spoken to enough cleaners, janitors, and custodians to understand that. At my current job, the womens room is usually worse.
This is barring extreme circumstances in either room (like someone shitting on the walls), which is, of course, highly non-standard regardless of room.
Calling the cops on a dad with his two girls in the women's room while also standing in the woman's room with the door propped open, he should be fired, into the sun.
If you can't shoot your enemies into the sun, just give them a decaying solar orbit, and if they happen to get killed by mercury or venus on the slow fall inwards, that's ok too.
In a way, the asshole man is a victim, too. He's been exposed to so much of your weird ass right-wing bathroom paranoia propaganda that he probably truly thinks there's some kind of problem with the dad's behavior. Asshole probably thinks he is, somehow, protecting someone from something evil.
Don't get me wrong, asshole IS a fucking cunt and an asshole, and would have deserved a punch or two. But he was aimed at this like a dumb bomb.
That being said, he himself was being what the weird ass right-wing bathroom paranoia propaganda machine have been screaming about for years, a man in the women's room spying on two little girls while also holding the door open to let anyone else spy on the two little girls in the women's room.
No, he's fucking not. He gets no sympathy for being an absolute shit heel about it and terrifying that little girl. He has had YEARS to know what he's about and he fucked it, so fuck him and fuck you for pandering.
You seem to have some issues with reading comprehension. "Sympathy"? I didn't ask for it for him, nor did I him give mine. I mean, it's pretty explicitly spelled out right there. "Pandering"? Don't be ridiculous.
"In a way, the asshole man is a victim, too." your own words, literally the first thing in your post. So yes, you absolutely did give him sympathy. We are not talking about two adults, we are talking about a grown ass man bullying, hell legally verbally assaulting that little girl. Go fuck yourself.
Buddy, just because someone is a victim of XY does not mean he gets my sympathy. Especially not for doig Z. Victims can be, and often are, perpetrators too. That you think the moment the word "victim" is spelled there's gotta be compassion is hardly my problem.
Read my comment again and in your mind replace "victim" with, dunno, "product of his circumstances" or something. Can you still find sympathy? No? Then this all is just about your misinterpretation of one word.
Where, pray tell, is the excuse? I'm serious here. Several people apparently read my comment as if it excused the asshole. I didn't mean it that way, and rereading it several times I still don't see how it's possible to understand it that way.
Or is it that anything but 100% pure hate for the 100% evil OTHER is now seen as being on their side?
You said an adult making his own decisions is a victim. Do you not understand how infantilizing that is? Telling people that they're not responsible for their actions because they're stupid? There's a legal definition for that, and this man does not come close to it.
He is absolutely not a victim. No one coerced him into deepthroating Fox's most idiotic takes so deeply they were actively massaging his colon.
Being a fuckin' moron doesn't excuse him or his behavior.
Bro probably lacks any level of meaningful achievement in his personal life so he pursues a fictional crusade with imaginary stakes. Luckily he received a reality check before it was too late.
I understand and share your anger. And I have not excused his behavior one bit. But you're wrong to look at this as if he was in complete control over himself, and *chose freely* to believe whatever nonsense he believes. None of us do, some less than others.
Cognitive dissonance is a bitch, and propaganda works.
I'm not saying "look at him with love and compassion". I'm saying "look at Fox et al with more anger."
Two things can be true. It's not the rabid dog's fault that it's diseased. Some sequence of events led the dog to that point, and it could have just as easily been some other dog. But no matter the circumstances, whether you decide to spend any pity on them or not, there's still only one cure for a rabid dog.
You're equating a disease to a willful choice of an adult human being. You're making an argument that no one is responsible for their actions. Stop it. It's edgy nonsense.
I didn't say "no one is responsible for their actions". The point of the message is that if you and Joe MAGA were swapped at the hospital as babies, it's good odds you'd be the one waving around Trump 2028 flags and getting into hysterics over childrens' genitals.
The idea that Joe MAGA can be a victim of a society that allows him to be indoctrinated does not absolve him of anything, but might shine a light back at the things we can improve as a society to protect others from becoming diseased.
He's a victim in the sense a child molester is a victim: They're wired in a way that makes them permanently predatory and unable to live on their own recognizance.
That *might* be a fitting comparison. I have no expertise on this, but I think many pedos become what they are through being abused in childhood themselves, right? If so, then there's a parallel. Because that asshole has likely been indoctrinated his whole life. So also some abuse there.
I see your point clearly. The point of friction is in the distinction between what we believe and what we do. People can believe daughters are for making grandchildren. That's not my business. If they act to compel their daughters, that's intentional and impacts the daughter's health and civil rights, the action is subject to judgement. Too late because they've already done something wrong to another person but hopefully in time to change the outcome.
People who are abused may in turn become abusers, but that may not be about attraction as much as it is about their own trauma. Some folks are probably just born being attracted to kids, though. I'd be curious to see the numbers on what those two groups' proportions are, and on the two groups' per capita instances of becoming abusers.
You can "do a basic Google search" and find out why everything you know is wrong as well. And confirm why everything you believe is right, just like he does. Your failed logic is retarded and self-congratulatory.
You really think it is as simple as you always make the "right" choices, and people willfully choosing the "wrong" opinions? How simple your world must be, you should be a conservative.
I love how your entire rationale for this boils down to a parallel of libertarian ideology where other people just didn't put in the hard work of being informed, like you.
People become informed, and gain the tools for learning how to be informed, through parents, community, peers, teachers, and more. It isn't a willful choice for a child to be raised as a conservative Christian homeschooled in a rural community.
You're incredibly naive and arrogant, but think you're so fucking smart.
As a former right-wing bigot, to call it a choice is an interesting take. It was rammed down my throat from childhood and everybody I looked up endorsed and reiterated it. I would sometimes see things that I thought didn't make sense but these people who were "wiser" were so confident. During adulthood, cracks started forming in the philosophy more and more until I finally realized, "wait a minute. This is bullshit." Indoctrination is a hell of a drug and it's not something you just snap out of
I was raised in a conservative household yet I knew that my dad was wrong when he explained to me, at 6 years old, that there were two kinds of black people. I knew at 10 that he was in the wrong when he called gay marriage a buttfucking abomination. I knew at 14 he was wrong when he was frothing at the TV calling Obama a sand-n*gger. Maybe I was just ahead of the curve as a kid, but if I knew this shit was wrong as a kid they can get with the program as a 40+ y/o.
The problem with propaganda, is that you don't think to question it after a certain point. And American propaganda makes you completely distrust any source that goes against the grain.
So even your "basic research" would pull up stuff he's learned to call propaganda itself. Americans, on both sides, have been trapped and taught to listen without thinking and that any dissent is is nit just wrong but trying to corrupt your mind.
I'm not denying his agency. But do consider cognitive dissonance. Finding out he's been lied to and manipulated to him wouldn't be like "oh, I was wrong about [issue] then. Good to know!", it would be more like "I am not me then. My worldview is wrong, my sense of belonging is gone, my self perception is wrong. I trusted the wrong people, and I myself AM one of those wrong people."
It's devastating. He'll subconsciously go to great lengths to avoid that conclusion.
One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.
I sort of do, in that victims of stuff usually suffer. He's not suffering as a "victim" of the right wing media. He's shielded by his privilege. Even getting fired probably won't have a bad impact, as a cis old white male with job experience. He's not a victim of the system he supports. He benefits from it and is likely still proud to do so. Maybe his family are victims of his beliefs, but certainly not him.
Okay, in that sense I agree. He probably doesn't suffer. But to become what he is, things had to be *done to him*. By parents, peer groups, school maybe, church, the news... Things that I would argue aren't good in a moral or ethical sense. Things that nudged him bit by bit to become this entitled asshole.
Everyone alive is affected to varying degrees by biology, upbringing, resource accessibility and general culture. Your premise is entirely logical, but so wide that guilt and responsibility become a matter of calibration.
Technically you can make this same argument about Putin and every Zionist in Israel. People with Narcissistic Personality Disorder have neural abnormalities, but they still traumatize others for profit.
Granted, his confidence in thinking he's right, without fear of legal or social reprisal, makes him feel comfortable enough to act this way and not be called out for it.
That said...you can't physically beat the stupid out of someone.
I'm scientifically minded. I'm not ready to accept that claim without experimental data. Maybe you can beat the stupid out? No way to know without lots of studies.
** My dude, your ignorance to half a century of evidence proving that physical positive punishment does not increase preferred behavioral outcomes reveals you're not scientifically minded as you opted to reject something before engaging in a preliminary literature review.
The problem is "might does not equal right". There have been plenty of cases of beating the stupid out of someone has been used to the wrong ends socially.
My dude, your ignorance to half a century of evidence proving that physical positive punishment does not increase preferred behavioral outcomes. Furthermore, extensive psychological and neurobiological research demonstrates a clear negative link between physical punishment and intelligence. Routine corporal punishment is associated with slower cognitive development, reduced grey matter, and altered brain function related to threat detection and emotional regulation.
How was I supposed to know it was a joke when: 1) People with this absurd mindset/knowledgebase exist. 2) Text lacks the tonality often used to signal that one is being sarcastic. 3) You're a stranger, I don't know you, maling it impossible for me to infer that thw comment was incongruous with your personality and therefore a "joke".
As the father of a daughter, I have had to do the same several times when we were out. Times when the only stall in Men's room was unusable (out of service or complete bio hazard), I'd have a staff member check the Women's, confirm that it was clear and then brought my daughter in. I also had to do this a few times with my infant son when the only changing table was in the Women's room and nothing in Men's room.
As a dad with a 3yo daughter I have encountered this situation countless times. I usually use the mens room. But last time the mens room was disgusting. So I knocked three times LOUD on the womens room and peeked my head through the door. I said LOUDLY, HELLO? My daughter needs to pee and she needs help. The room was completely empty. so I propped her on the toilet, and ran back to the main door and stood there holding the door open while waiting for my daughter. What else are you to do? Srsly.
also the man terrorizing and filming children was also in the women's restroom making him 100% the kind of man he "feared". Just ironic. He was the childpredator all along.
To anyone confused or conflicted about how they might act as a “witness” in this same situation, all you need to know is: when in doubt, mind your own damn business. Let a parent take care of their child for crying out loud.
That and offer to walk in first to announce his presence. Would ease any uncomfortableness from the parent and anyone... currently changing I guess? This happened in reverse I was younger, I had to go bad and there was a line at the women's room. My dad went in to make sure no one was pants down, and stood by the door. There were so few men needing to go, my dad started a trend of guys standing by the front door while their female friends shortened the other line 🤣 weirdly controversial today
That was the 2nd rule growing up, “mind your own business,” the 1st being, “treat others as you wish to be treated.” It’s amazing how many MAGA’s don’t seem to know or remember either of these?! I grew up in Mississippi in the 70’s.
And i think in general theres permission even from childless women. Id much rather a father of a young girl come in the womens room than have to go in the mens room too.
It's crazy how even red states used to pass totally reasonable, common-sense laws before this whole culture war BS. Can you imagine them passing this law today?
No, and apparently this law was passed decades ago, but there was inherent sexism behind it then, too. The legislative body in Missouri was almost all men, and this law was codified so that women could still be put in the place of childcare provider, even when it meant their little boys had to go to the bathroom in a store. There was no compassion nor empathy involved, just selfish sexism.
When I first saw it I thought she was with the douche on the phone, not sure why she didn’t keep him out to begin with but still applaud her for trying.
I was getting strong mother/grandmother vibes from her. She'd rather the girls be in the women's room with their dad than in the men's room where that creep has easier access.
Apparently he was a local man, too, cuz he interviewed with KFOR about it yesterday. I'm glad the old fucker lost his job. Couldn't have happened to a more deserving man. Love that for him.
The guy is an undesirable for certain. Yet, loss of job doesn't impact just him. It impacts his family (if he has one). I hope they gave him a chance to redeem himself before choosing the nuclear option.
There can be consequence without taking the nuclear option if you give someone the chance to correct themselves. If the nuclear option is taken with zero chance for someone to correct themselves, it only serves to reinforce the "us vs them" mentality.
Nowhere did I say there should not be consequences. If they don't correct themselves, then yes take the extreme option.
It's as if we live in an echo chamber of assumptions on all social media.
Perfectly happy with terrorizing a small child, too. That little girl crying made me want to reach into my phone and rip that guy's throat out. Fuck that guy with a rusty fire extinguisher.
When you have something to lose, you should consider those things, before you do something like this. This is completely on him. Not his employer. He has to accept responsibility for his actions.
If his decisions and the way he acts affected more than just him, maybe he shouldn't have been such a cunt if that was a concern. If I do something awful and it would affect my employment, should I get special treatment if I am married or have kids over someone who doesn't?
The fact that there are people out there that firmly believe that they should get 2 votes purely because they are a parent, scares me and they would probably say “yes!” To your hypothetical. Some people choose to become parents, and then resent the sacrifices they have to make to be a parent, and then think they should be compensated for said sacrifices. No. You made a choice. You chose to make those sacrifices when you chose the reward of bringing a life and joy into the world.
And agree as a parent. Now, some things I could say that non-parents don't really get to have as strong of an opinion as parents (mainly how to handle kids in certain situations), but not for the situation for this post.
I think you misunderstand. The man who was in the bathroom with his kids is the local man. Took a trip, got harassed, came home and told the local news about it.
From the looks of the inside footage I would place the timing around mother's day, actually. I remember QT selling flowers around that time (see by the door a stand of flowers).

I saw a good setup once: all individual stalls. Think like a series of cupboards with a toilet inside. Sinks are outside the stalls.

Seethreepeeoh
Aggressively agree. He intends colonising mars in the same way #1 was protecting women

As a guy with a paralyzed wife, one of us is guaranteed going to be in the "wrong" bathroom it is exactly 0 other people's business though.

Little girls in a bathroom where men openly use urinals?? No thanks! In another context, that’d be endangering the welfare of a child.
somebodythatyouusetoknow
Name and shame the asshole who was also in the women's washroom and also made a little girl cry.
AshesVonDust
The poor little girl's crying was so upsetting. A man in the bathroom traumatized her in the end, so good job I guess?
YaBigGaymo
Remember how they want to protect women and young girls from trans people that they claim are simply predatory men in drag? So who protects them from guys like this when fathers try to take them to the safest place? It's almost like they just hate women and don't care about the logic 🤷🏻♂️
nikki10
The video is heartbreaking. One of the daughters is crying like she's getting in trouble and doesn't understand why. The dad did a great job, just kept doing what he went there to do, focused on caring for the girls.
JackieTreehornProductions
This is why we just need unisex bathrooms and do away with all this mens/womens stuff. If you can share toilets on a plane and at home without a designated gender - do it everywhere. Stalls with latches floor to ceiling if it's a large scale bathroom, designate smaller ones unisex/family with changing tables and locks. Get rid of the point of conflict - gender designations. ONE SIZE FITS ALL (but please have the urinal that goes to the floor for little boys (Kwik Trip you do it right).
ReusableBastard
Dude needs to learn how to mind his own business.
toolzgalore2
In *checks year* 2026, there should be only bathrooms, no gender specific ones. I understand though why women would want their own, as a man, men are fucking nasty. But I understand women can also be nasty in public restrooms, something about hovering.
ArkoneAxon
I had a friend who worked as a janitor, who said the exact OPPOSITE. Men's restrooms could be bad, but at least they didn't have sanitary pads on the ceiling. She couldn't always say the same about the women's restrooms.
CorrectMostOfTheTime
When I had to clean bathroom as part of my retail job the womens rooms were always significantly more disgusting than the mens.
mechanerd
Having once cleaned public bathrooms for a living, I learned that both can be pretty nasty. It's more about which set of bathrooms gets used more. Women's bathrooms might look and smell better, but then you look under the toilet seat.
EmeRgencyDrD
I found some nasty ass blod clot bullshit on top of the seats. The mens room might have had piss everywhere, but never shit on the seat. imo the womens was always worse and with just as much piss everywhere.
TKpotato
Tiny airport toilet someone left a used, bloody pad on top of the trash can 😩
toolzgalore2
Dude... For real, they were SO CLOSE!
TKpotato
Yeah! Gurl if it don’t fit or you don’t wanna touch the trash just wrap it up in some toilet paper and throw it somewhwre else. Worse part was it was absolutely full, waiting in line to use the toilet, three out of order. I bet the people who treat public bathrooms like that are the ones who have decorative hand towels at home and fluffy toilet seat covers
foreverinchains
I worked in a nightclub for a few years, and would you like to guess which bathrooms were in worse shape at the end of the night?
It was always the women's rooms.
I agree wholeheartedly that when it comes to bathrooms. men are nasty, but holy shit, women are somehow even worse.
ShinksAvoHazaar

I like that the guy with the cross t shirt got harassed by the conservative Christian. Makes me smile to see them eat their own. "How do you know the guy wearing the cross t shirt is also a religious nut?" Because darlings non religious nuts don't wear that shit.
ArkoneAxon
"Because darlings non religious nuts don't wear that shit." Except for the ones who wear it as a disguise. I had a classmate back in school who bragged about shoplifting. He had a mohawk and a penchant for goth/emo outfits... but when he went stealing, he would put on a nice hat to cover the hair, slip into button shirts and jeans, and look as normal and nonthreatening as possible. Camoflauge.
(not saying the dad was in camo. I'm just pointing out that sometimes non-christians wear that stuff)
lovingspace
The amount of people I encounter who call themselves Christians but do not follow Christian values is enormous.

LumpPump
while i agree with what you said, im kind of glad it looks like its going to back fire hard on the conservatives chuds who thought they needed a bill like this after this guy got fired tying to enforce it. sadly i know its going to still hurt the people its meant to hurt but here is to hoping more often it hurts the babys that wanted it in the first place more
lbelli21
Well said
BigRobbo
Gonna throw in they also exist as an easy way to pretend the govt is addressing women's safety concerns. By linking the idea of assaults to anyone violating the bathroom sign they can claim they are putting in place laws that make women safer... they can then ignore the fact that women are assaulted everywhere since "we are making bathrooms safe again".
Ivalicenyan
What a fun fact?
ElbowDeepInAHeadlessHorseman
Bingo. There aren't enough trans people actually existing for it to rise to the theoretical level that they claim. These bills are always about gender non-conformity, which does obviously include trans folks, but impact just as many cis folks if not more. Republicans are hateful but they're also stupid as all fuck.
sirleoiii
Conservatives consistantly guess that 10% of the population is trans (according to studies) and the actual number is, of course, closer to 1-2%. But think about that in terms of a bathroom 'monitor.' If you think that 10% of the most gender non-conforming people coming into that bathroom are to be turned away ... you will be harrassing the wrong people 80-90% of the time EVEN IF you would get 'all' the trans people. That's what they would have to defend.
Reddxx
I'm just saying what we all saw: He's abusing that man for taking care of children.
mikeatike
Or just dads that actually spend time with their kids. Christian conservatives hate that.
toolzgalore2
And I bet that only the womens room has a changing table because... That's a thing
themuffulettaisalsoaverygoodsandwich
At no time in my life was I willing to put one of my children on any surface in a men's restroom. And I had opportunities to use the changing tables because they're not THAT uncommon in men's restrooms. But there is no way in hell.
NotThatPrivate
It's mandatory in California, thank goodness. I can't imagine not having a place to change my son
Lostarchitorture
In 2016 in the US the BABIES act (Bathrooms AccessiBle In Every Situation) was passed to require all men's restrooms to carry changing stations. If not that, a gender neutral family restroom for that purpose.
They've had 10 years now. If they haven't updated, get on the building owner, talk to local city council, etc., to get it updated. Many owners need to be forced to change; they won't spend the money until forced to.
Hevach
The BABIES Act only applies to Federal buildings which are open to the public.
Valharroth
Where i live we have dedicated changing table bathrooms in public so you don't have to do it infront of 10 strangers regardless of gender.
hucklebury
QuikTrip has changing tables in both restrooms
Typically, they're placed inside the largest stall for added privacy.
nomnamless
In MN at least they are pretty good about having changing stations in both bathrooms
Even better yet some stores have a family bathroom that locks. That has a toilet, urinal and changing table
lackadaisycull
Def was when I was bringing up my girls 20+ years ago. I’ve been seeing them more and more in men’s rooms, but still not universal.

CA restaurant manager here, there should be baby changing tables no matter the gender. We can't even have "Free Ladies Night" because it's discriminatory, there should be changing tables in each bathroom
Misteree8
Probably in your neighborhood. Luckily not mine.
Audasity
fortunately, in minnesota, 20 years ago, i didnt really have an issue finding a table in a mens bathroom to change my son. its sad hearing a lot of dads do run into that issue in other areas
mastertmo
I never had a problem finding one either. In Texas!
tsooji
I managed a gas station that corporate was paying to have the bathrooms redone in. I begged them to put a changing table in both bathrooms. "No. If a man needs to change a baby's diaper, he can just use the women's room." "Can we put unisex signs on the doors then?" "No."
wouldClimbForCash
How long ago? Apparently there was a bill passed about this. (Noted in another comment)
LinemanMatt
That's crazy! Definitely a decision made by someone with no kids or common sense.

Europe here: you1 ask permission for what and have laws for huh? It's a bathroom, who cares. If anything ladies always like a dad with his daughters in a bathroom together. Have never felt uncomfortable anywhere but tbf we live in a big socialist city (like most western European ones)
ejw909
Americans can't comprehend unisex or shared bathrooms. Everything must be segregated. Just ignore the fact that bathrooms at home aren't separated by gender.
OneBananaForSale
No but your president has a thing for that right?
modus0
Who cares? In the US, the conservatives and ultra-religious care, and they make a lot of noise over it too, doing their damnedest to make it everyone's problem.

As someone who raised a daughter: in such cases I’d ask for permission and ensure no one was in it before going in. Lady rooms have changing stations

Men’s rooms also have changing stations, even here in Texas.
Rovit82
Not always the case. And hasn’t always been this way. Many times as a dad I’ve been told they only have changing stations in the women’s room.
PileOfWalthers
I didn’t say everywhere nor always had been, did I now.
NappaTheFriendlyGhost
2009 Louisiana they were quite rare. The malls had unisex rooms with em. Walmart men’s rooms didn’t.
ontarioOT
I'll vouch for Napa on this one. They used to be much less common in men's bathrooms about 10-15 years ago but are a lot easier to find nowadays.
queequegaz
My understanding is this guy did just that.
fishbicyclerepairman

LeftRightThere
This is why I really appreciated places with family bathrooms. Basically a big bathroom for a stroller and a changing table.
NappaTheFriendlyGhost
The local malls and target had a separate single stall unisex specifically for situations like this. Either parents whose kids need escort or fathers of diaper clad feces fountains.
Mstrswrd
If cleanliness is the issue, the womens room is almost always worse- the mens room will have a little piss on a seat, the womens will have jelly sticks hanging from the ceiling. I've worked as a seasonal janitor, and spoken to enough cleaners, janitors, and custodians to understand that. At my current job, the womens room is usually worse.
This is barring extreme circumstances in either room (like someone shitting on the walls), which is, of course, highly non-standard regardless of room.
SomeGeek75ygh
women's room, men's room
Mstrswrd
Obviously, the actual issue here is someone being a fucking asshole, but I just wanted to throw that out there.
debradQueen
It's not about cleanliness. It's about not subjecting your daughters to exposed urinals and penises at their eye level.

As I stated in my second comment due to character restrictions. I should have made that more obvious.

SleepyHollowAppleTree

IncognitoEnthusiast
No, he's fucking not. He gets no sympathy for being an absolute shit heel about it and terrifying that little girl. He has had YEARS to know what he's about and he fucked it, so fuck him and fuck you for pandering.
DarthVaderDidNothingWrong
You seem to have some issues with reading comprehension. "Sympathy"? I didn't ask for it for him, nor did I him give mine. I mean, it's pretty explicitly spelled out right there. "Pandering"? Don't be ridiculous.
IncognitoEnthusiast
"In a way, the asshole man is a victim, too." your own words, literally the first thing in your post. So yes, you absolutely did give him sympathy. We are not talking about two adults, we are talking about a grown ass man bullying, hell legally verbally assaulting that little girl. Go fuck yourself.
DarthVaderDidNothingWrong
Buddy, just because someone is a victim of XY does not mean he gets my sympathy. Especially not for doig Z. Victims can be, and often are, perpetrators too. That you think the moment the word "victim" is spelled there's gotta be compassion is hardly my problem.
Read my comment again and in your mind replace "victim" with, dunno, "product of his circumstances" or something. Can you still find sympathy? No? Then this all is just about your misinterpretation of one word.
Slonato
That's literally how all monsterous things happen. You don't need to excuse evil. Evil is almost always stupid. That doesn't make it any less evil.
DarthVaderDidNothingWrong
Where, pray tell, is the excuse? I'm serious here. Several people apparently read my comment as if it excused the asshole. I didn't mean it that way, and rereading it several times I still don't see how it's possible to understand it that way.
Or is it that anything but 100% pure hate for the 100% evil OTHER is now seen as being on their side?
Slonato
You said an adult making his own decisions is a victim. Do you not understand how infantilizing that is? Telling people that they're not responsible for their actions because they're stupid? There's a legal definition for that, and this man does not come close to it.
DarthVaderDidNothingWrong
Nothing in my comments comes even close to saying he's not responsible for his actions. Where did you get that? The mystery continues for me.
Is it the word "victim"? Does that make you and others think I must mean he can't be blamed, isn't responsible, we should not condemn?
I'm saying becoming what he is to a large degree was *done to him*. Parents, peers, church, school, Fox fucking News.
How does that excuse what he does? Victims can become perpetrators, my dude.
4chanrefugee
He is absolutely not a victim. No one coerced him into deepthroating Fox's most idiotic takes so deeply they were actively massaging his colon.
Being a fuckin' moron doesn't excuse him or his behavior.
Bro probably lacks any level of meaningful achievement in his personal life so he pursues a fictional crusade with imaginary stakes. Luckily he received a reality check before it was too late.
DarthVaderDidNothingWrong
I understand and share your anger. And I have not excused his behavior one bit. But you're wrong to look at this as if he was in complete control over himself, and *chose freely* to believe whatever nonsense he believes. None of us do, some less than others.
Cognitive dissonance is a bitch, and propaganda works.
I'm not saying "look at him with love and compassion". I'm saying "look at Fox et al with more anger."
johnxbear
That's how brain washing works. You don't know you're a victim until it's too late
NaughtButOne
Two things can be true. It's not the rabid dog's fault that it's diseased. Some sequence of events led the dog to that point, and it could have just as easily been some other dog. But no matter the circumstances, whether you decide to spend any pity on them or not, there's still only one cure for a rabid dog.
Slonato
You're equating a disease to a willful choice of an adult human being. You're making an argument that no one is responsible for their actions. Stop it. It's edgy nonsense.
NaughtButOne

DarthVaderDidNothingWrong
That *might* be a fitting comparison. I have no expertise on this, but I think many pedos become what they are through being abused in childhood themselves, right? If so, then there's a parallel. Because that asshole has likely been indoctrinated his whole life. So also some abuse there.
Reddxx
I see your point clearly. The point of friction is in the distinction between what we believe and what we do. People can believe daughters are for making grandchildren. That's not my business. If they act to compel their daughters, that's intentional and impacts the daughter's health and civil rights, the action is subject to judgement. Too late because they've already done something wrong to another person but hopefully in time to change the outcome.
ThisIsAllYouCouldComeUpWith
People who are abused may in turn become abusers, but that may not be about attraction as much as it is about their own trauma. Some folks are probably just born being attracted to kids, though. I'd be curious to see the numbers on what those two groups' proportions are, and on the two groups' per capita instances of becoming abusers.
foreverinchains
He's chosen to buy into the right-wing propaganda, and continues to choose to never do a basic Google search to see why that propaganda is wrong.
Sure, the propaganda is heavily pushed on people, but there is no shortage of people combating it with readily available, good information.
GroverKerr
You can "do a basic Google search" and find out why everything you know is wrong as well. And confirm why everything you believe is right, just like he does. Your failed logic is retarded and self-congratulatory.
You really think it is as simple as you always make the "right" choices, and people willfully choosing the "wrong" opinions? How simple your world must be, you should be a conservative.
foreverinchains
If you don't understand what a credible source for information is, you'll find all kinds of bullshit.

GroverKerr
I love how your entire rationale for this boils down to a parallel of libertarian ideology where other people just didn't put in the hard work of being informed, like you.
People become informed, and gain the tools for learning how to be informed, through parents, community, peers, teachers, and more. It isn't a willful choice for a child to be raised as a conservative Christian homeschooled in a rural community.
You're incredibly naive and arrogant, but think you're so fucking smart.
SnakuPlisskin
As a former right-wing bigot, to call it a choice is an interesting take. It was rammed down my throat from childhood and everybody I looked up endorsed and reiterated it. I would sometimes see things that I thought didn't make sense but these people who were "wiser" were so confident. During adulthood, cracks started forming in the philosophy more and more until I finally realized, "wait a minute. This is bullshit." Indoctrination is a hell of a drug and it's not something you just snap out of
DocWats
I was raised in a conservative household yet I knew that my dad was wrong when he explained to me, at 6 years old, that there were two kinds of black people. I knew at 10 that he was in the wrong when he called gay marriage a buttfucking abomination. I knew at 14 he was wrong when he was frothing at the TV calling Obama a sand-n*gger. Maybe I was just ahead of the curve as a kid, but if I knew this shit was wrong as a kid they can get with the program as a 40+ y/o.
AMoldyStump
The problem with propaganda, is that you don't think to question it after a certain point. And American propaganda makes you completely distrust any source that goes against the grain.
So even your "basic research" would pull up stuff he's learned to call propaganda itself. Americans, on both sides, have been trapped and taught to listen without thinking and that any dissent is is nit just wrong but trying to corrupt your mind.
DarthVaderDidNothingWrong

DarthVaderDidNothingWrong
Okay, in that sense I agree. He probably doesn't suffer. But to become what he is, things had to be *done to him*. By parents, peer groups, school maybe, church, the news... Things that I would argue aren't good in a moral or ethical sense. Things that nudged him bit by bit to become this entitled asshole.
If not "victim", what word would be better?

Everyone alive is affected to varying degrees by biology, upbringing, resource accessibility and general culture. Your premise is entirely logical, but so wide that guilt and responsibility become a matter of calibration.

spittleteets
My dude, your ignorance to half a century of evidence proving that physical positive punishment does not increase preferred behavioral outcomes. Furthermore, extensive psychological and neurobiological research demonstrates a clear negative link between physical punishment and intelligence. Routine corporal punishment is associated with slower cognitive development, reduced grey matter, and altered brain function related to threat detection and emotional regulation.

DarthVaderDidNothingWrong
You're taking a joke more serious than it deserves
spittleteets
How was I supposed to know it was a joke when:
1) People with this absurd mindset/knowledgebase exist.
2) Text lacks the tonality often used to signal that one is being sarcastic.
3) You're a stranger, I don't know you, maling it impossible for me to infer that thw comment was incongruous with your personality and therefore a "joke".
Sorrontis
For additional context, he had permission from the worker to do that.
LurkandJerk
As the father of a daughter, I have had to do the same several times when we were out. Times when the only stall in Men's room was unusable (out of service or complete bio hazard), I'd have a staff member check the Women's, confirm that it was clear and then brought my daughter in. I also had to do this a few times with my infant son when the only changing table was in the Women's room and nothing in Men's room.
METROlD
As a dad with a 3yo daughter I have encountered this situation countless times. I usually use the mens room. But last time the mens room was disgusting. So I knocked three times LOUD on the womens room and peeked my head through the door. I said LOUDLY, HELLO? My daughter needs to pee and she needs help.
The room was completely empty. so I propped her on the toilet, and ran back to the main door and stood there holding the door open while waiting for my daughter. What else are you to do? Srsly.
SarcasticComment
also the man terrorizing and filming children was also in the women's restroom making him 100% the kind of man he "feared". Just ironic. He was the childpredator all along.
NunyaBizness
Yep, a proud GOP pedo member I'm sure
PizzaCraig
He was probably angry they weren't in the men's room, where he'd be less suspicious going into to sneak a peek.
UnprunedSynapses
Also he had two small daughters and the asshole made at least one cry.
Sonicschilidogs
Make my daughter cry, win a free black eye!
MmmYesShallowAndPedantic
To anyone confused or conflicted about how they might act as a “witness” in this same situation, all you need to know is: when in doubt, mind your own damn business. Let a parent take care of their child for crying out loud.
Fritzy19
That and offer to walk in first to announce his presence. Would ease any uncomfortableness from the parent and anyone... currently changing I guess? This happened in reverse I was younger, I had to go bad and there was a line at the women's room. My dad went in to make sure no one was pants down, and stood by the door. There were so few men needing to go, my dad started a trend of guys standing by the front door while their female friends shortened the other line 🤣 weirdly controversial today
ziph3326
That was the 2nd rule growing up, “mind your own business,” the 1st being, “treat others as you wish to be treated.” It’s amazing how many MAGA’s don’t seem to know or remember either of these?! I grew up in Mississippi in the 70’s.
MmmYesShallowAndPedantic
❤️❤️❤️
Audasity
for additional context, he has permission from just about every mother on planet earth, as long as hes respectful
ToenailClippingsJar
And permission from every father with young daughters. Basically anyone with brains that are functioning really.
Mogslie
And i think in general theres permission even from childless women. Id much rather a father of a young girl come in the womens room than have to go in the mens room too.
netharia
This, it'd probably startle me, but I'd understand once he explained.
TK421isAFK
For even more context, the man taking his daughters into the restroom did nothing illegal in most states, including Mississippi, where 1/2
GhostofCharlieKirk
Alabama wtf
HarryDresdenIsMySpiritAnimal
Oh fuck, are we one of the baddies on THIS, too?? Jesus Christ I hate this fucking state. Please let me find a decent job elsewhere.
Drix1942
MAGAts don't care. They only project.
TK421isAFK
this occurred. In fact, MS law specifically permits it: https://billstatus.ls.state.ms.us/documents/2024/html/SB/2700-2799/SB2753IN.htm 2/2
TakeAChillPill16
It's crazy how even red states used to pass totally reasonable, common-sense laws before this whole culture war BS. Can you imagine them passing this law today?
TK421isAFK
No, and apparently this law was passed decades ago, but there was inherent sexism behind it then, too. The legislative body in Missouri was almost all men, and this law was codified so that women could still be put in the place of childcare provider, even when it meant their little boys had to go to the bathroom in a store. There was no compassion nor empathy involved, just selfish sexism.
BillyM00n
Yup.
Section 5, subsection 1a specifically allows for parents to accompany their kids into the bathroom of another gender.
Onetonmanwithaspoon
The manager was in there with them, and she actually shut the door in the assholes face that was causing the whole scene.
djmccMovieJumper
When I first saw it I thought she was with the douche on the phone, not sure why she didn’t keep him out to begin with but still applaud her for trying.
DeviousWay
Guy initially was blocking the door.
fishbicyclerepairman
And apologized
draconicus
Oh that was the MANAGER? Wow
WigglyBlondeNoodle
Yeah you can hear her apologizing in the background at one point for the asshole's behavior.
shorey66
Yeah she helped the girls get some paper towels and you could tell she was not happy with the douche canoe who called the cops
freakdiablo
I was getting strong mother/grandmother vibes from her. She'd rather the girls be in the women's room with their dad than in the men's room where that creep has easier access.
LateNightBunnyParty
Apparently he was a local man, too, cuz he interviewed with KFOR about it yesterday. I'm glad the old fucker lost his job. Couldn't have happened to a more deserving man. Love that for him.

Isthe4thtimethecharm
I didn't think the city had quick trips
Isthe4thtimethecharm
Now I see he wasn't in Oklahoma city but from there.
LateNightBunnyParty
But also we have QT everywhere around OKC.
Isthe4thtimethecharm
Yeah but 7 11 in the city right. Or has that changed
FeralFarter
The guy is an undesirable for certain. Yet, loss of job doesn't impact just him. It impacts his family (if he has one). I hope they gave him a chance to redeem himself before choosing the nuclear option.
FeralFarter
Tbh I don't get the negativity against my comment. Someone else being shitty doesn't give license for you yourself to be shitty?
EstoyPoopis
The fuck? They are called consequences. If you are a piece of shit, the consequences are going to be shitty. How is this still flying over you?
FeralFarter
There can be consequence without taking the nuclear option if you give someone the chance to correct themselves. If the nuclear option is taken with zero chance for someone to correct themselves, it only serves to reinforce the "us vs them" mentality.
Nowhere did I say there should not be consequences. If they don't correct themselves, then yes take the extreme option.
It's as if we live in an echo chamber of assumptions on all social media.
EatYourSoylentGreenAndShutUp
I hope he's going to lose his family too.
butcherfan0301
By calling the cops he was saying he was perfectly happy for the father to be arrested or worse.
HarryDresdenIsMySpiritAnimal
Perfectly happy with terrorizing a small child, too. That little girl crying made me want to reach into my phone and rip that guy's throat out. Fuck that guy with a rusty fire extinguisher.
somuchproblemo
Smell your own farts a lot, don’t you?
PhilipJFryIII
He's old enough to know better
jamiedBreaker
Great username, bad take.
CaptainYesterday
When you have something to lose, you should consider those things, before you do something like this. This is completely on him. Not his employer. He has to accept responsibility for his actions.
ElbowDeepInSaintCelestine
Whomp fucking whomp.
DocWats
Actions have consequences. The world doesnt need to bend over backwards for these assholes. Stop defending them.
WellWellWellLookWhoItIs
That guy was showing zero concern for the dad and his family while calling the cops on them.
Arbitrarynamehere
I doubt he has young kids for what it's worth
ToweringLilly
If his decisions and the way he acts affected more than just him, maybe he shouldn't have been such a cunt if that was a concern. If I do something awful and it would affect my employment, should I get special treatment if I am married or have kids over someone who doesn't?
prosper020
The fact that there are people out there that firmly believe that they should get 2 votes purely because they are a parent, scares me and they would probably say “yes!” To your hypothetical.
Some people choose to become parents, and then resent the sacrifices they have to make to be a parent, and then think they should be compensated for said sacrifices. No. You made a choice. You chose to make those sacrifices when you chose the reward of bringing a life and joy into the world.
ToweringLilly
And agree as a parent. Now, some things I could say that non-parents don't really get to have as strong of an opinion as parents (mainly how to handle kids in certain situations), but not for the situation for this post.

^ this! I wish I could upvote twice!
annasbrew
He told the guy with the daughters that he also was on a road trip, so he lied. That completely tracks.
LateNightBunnyParty
I think you misunderstand. The man who was in the bathroom with his kids is the local man. Took a trip, got harassed, came home and told the local news about it.
annasbrew
I did misunderstand, thanks for clarifying.
MarsIsAfire
lol there's no way that's recent footage
Corvidqueen
From the looks of the inside footage I would place the timing around mother's day, actually. I remember QT selling flowers around that time (see by the door a stand of flowers).
RocknRootRanchcuzallwegotisrocksandrootsandafewtrees
I was like, da HECK?! Why am I paying 4.08?!
LateNightBunnyParty
Probably padded the story out with some old still clips. Good catch, that's pretty funny.
TheFastpaws
You know the Nazis will rally and raise money for him.
shitheadtookmyname
Good. Less money for more threatening Nazi shit.
kaneinencanto
No way, that's socialism! Let him pull himself up by his own bootstraps! /s
WorkerLurker
It’s Oklahoma, that’s Klan territory. The difference is the meth on Saturday vs the Ghost costumes on Sunday.
