WTF that button is the Satan.

Everything takes practice, even being nice. I support this!

Very nice

This, this rejoices me.

Let's make it a trend to be nice to each other! Wouldn't that be a thing?

What about Daniel?

Never getting caught cheating at a Coldplay concert is not never cheating at a Coldplay concert.

I liked a lot the "your father must be so proud of you". Yet, as someone whos English is not his first languaje, first and second sounded kinda unpolite.

2 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

English is my first language and I was raised sarcastically so it sounds like pure mockery to me at first.

2 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

In my Native languaje (Spanish) catcalling can get real nasty and insulting, so much that there are laws against it now. First two sounded a little like those.

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They definitely could be to the wrong crowd, yeah. I think the best way I can explain it is "You look like you haven't experienced this universal and slightly embarrassing thing." It's funny, because it's much, much more specific than "You're pretty" without actually objectifying the women, and there's a very good chance the women know exactly what he's talking about.

TNX for the explanation! +1

The reason her dad is proud of her:

From thr comment: bird chick fell off the nest probably, as they do. In this phase the mom still feeds it. It usually is best to leave animals where they are. Empathy is nice, knowledge + empathy is better.

2 months ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

D'awww, that anxiety of having to move away from home creeping in. 🥺

2 months ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

Yes, that was nearly enough to make me cry, too. Bless her sweet heart.

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I always kept exotic pets away by telling my kids if they want one, they have to write me a detailed paper on how to properly take care of it. Needed to be detailed enough that I could hand the paper and animal to someone and they could take care of it. Kids always declined. Until my oldest discovered dumbo eared rats. Her research of course showed that she'd need TWO... So we went and picked up Chef and Baker a few weeks later.

2 months ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 0

Now THAT’S how you do parenting right. Seriously. Teach kids that they have to research their dreams before they are allowed to commit to them. Seriously, this isn’t mean, it’s literally common sense!!!

2 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah, and it kept me from being inundated with exotic pets only for them to die within weeks from improper care. Baker lived a little over a year, and Chef made it nearly three years (rats usually live 1-2 years) so clearly the research was worthwhile.

I didn't know the trader joes lot being a clusterfuck is a universal thing..

2 months ago | Likes 108 Dislikes 0

they feel like cia black sites, restricted access

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They have small stores, and they're popular. So that usually means busy parking lots.

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Me neither, but that is apt.

2 months ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

I’m so thankful ours is in a large shopping center so there’s overflow in front of other stores and they didn’t measure them out for European cars because I remember the days when I live somewhere else and it was terrible

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I've only been to one. The parking was completely normal. Had no idea this was a thing.

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ours had a h1 hummer always parked in it

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's Joe's car

2 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

You joke (I think) but your statement is dead on. TJ's brands itself like some healthy 'all natural' neighborhood store when it's really a billion dollar corporation with over 500 locations who is the most notorious company for union busting that I have ever encountered.
"We're green and organic and progressive" - bitch I worked for you and you are just the same evil in a Hawaiian shirt. Break is over, time to carry out another hundreds of pounds of perfectly good food to the dumpster...

2 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

As a German, just go to Aldi.

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Never been to a Trader Joes, but they built one near the AAA Office I use. Parking Lot's are all connected between them, the AAA, Starbucks with a drive through, and a Lowes... Never really noticed any odd parking, but I'll have to keep an eye on it next time I go.

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've seen bumper stickers for sale on Etsy that say "I survived the Trader Joe's parking lot".

2 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I have literally never gone to the Trader Joes in my town because I took one look at the parking lot and noped out.

2 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Don't go. They're insanely anti union and basically a retail cult. If you want to hold down a job there you have to join the cult and be part of their family.
I worked there and have never seen so many food safety recalls tied to one company but them.... Not to mention stuff like I would watch cases of meat and milk sit out at room temperature for 8 hours plus. They fake AF.

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Having worked there - three reasons come to mind.
-TJs look for the cheapest locations because they generally never close a store even when it's underperforming. Cheapest location often has small/crappy parking.
-They -like- the small parking lot because when it's full and chaotic it looks like they're more popular.
-True for anywhere, but some people are just entitled and don't care if they parked badly. TJs attracts these people more than average.

I have threatened to get my brother a coloring book many times. So he can practice staying between the lines. The downside is he is a former Marine so can't be trusted with crayons

2 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

it is. Have you been to more than 30 trader joes? I have. They all suck to park at.

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

maybe 3 or 4 total .. two are in massive grocery-store-as-anchor places, so the lot is huge already .. one was in down-town Alexandria or Arlington VA (so no parking at all) and then my local, when it opened, is/has/always is a cluster ..

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Had a TJ open up in our town about a year ago and the local tri-city paper headline was "New Trader Joe's opens in Vista with an actual functioning parking lot". So yes, it is a universal thing.

2 months ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

You know, a polite catcalling viral sensation that could sweep our nation wouldn't be a horrible thing in this day and age.

2 months ago | Likes 325 Dislikes 1

If done well, yes.

However, most people can’t think as fast as this guy to deliver as well as he does.

2 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It’s not even that. The recipient will rarely actually listen and understand. It will be irrational anger.

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Rule #1: Be attractive when catcalling. This gimmick doesn’t work if the cat caller is some 40 year old overweight troglodyte.

2 months ago | Likes 60 Dislikes 9

Pretty people can get away with anything. What I look for in a relationship is:
Be as good-looking as I am and pretend that I'm the smart one. "Gotta fluff that ego", because I'm fking regarded.

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

You called?

What if the troglodyte says it with a sincere smile

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nah it's the fact that he is being non threatening. If a man is good looking but predatory the women would not be reacting that way. This guy is not being a creep, is being fun, and isn't menacing the women.

Untrue. You have to BE LIKEABLE. EXAMPLE: Look at Stavros.

2 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

You rang?

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It wouldn't? Many of these are just underhanded objectifying remarks, but that's probably just me. Like: "you look like you didn't get caught cheating" - still implies that's the main theme when you compliment a couple?

2 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 23

Do you not remember that Coldplay concert where they found two people cheating? That was only like last year

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

wow, such a Karen.

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

No, it really doesn't. You may infer that, but that's your decision. It definitely is just you.

2 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

And dozens of us who are taught, repeatedly, by shortsighted people (like you) to keep our mouths shut because we [checks notes] are fun at parties or somesuch

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

You mean, random people saying nice things about each other is a horrible thing? You must be fun to hang out with. Even if it is only in small doses.

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The problem is with the mental gymnastics required to hear *those* compliments and classifying it as "saying nice things"

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

2 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

you are correct. it doesnt even matter what he's saying really, using the trappings and social environment of abuse to make a joke is actually just abuse in a trenchcoat.

Forgot to actually listen and think. Easy mistake.

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Nice to meet another thinking person on the webs

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I agree. It all sounds ironic. If not for the MASSIVE sign he's holding people would be upset.

2 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Your aren't as deep and contemplative as those big words make you sound, chief. He's not joking, he's literally complimenting people. He's doing it in an unusual way, but that doesn't make it a joke. The juxtaposition makes it amusing but that doesn't make it a joke, and your personal weird sensitivity that other people do bad things the way he's doing good things does not influence the positivity of what he's doing. Grow up.

2 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

they're not big words you just never grew up <3 I dont give a shit what the juxtaposition makes men feel. Being harassed for the bit is the same as being harassed to the people dealing with it. You are welcome to see with your own eyes the ones who didnt react well square up before they realized it was a bit. Having to square up every night to every man standing on the street with a camera is a shitty way to live. Grow up.

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 7

lots of people big mad, nobody brave enough to stand up and say why. typical

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

"Social environment of abuse" is one hell of a phrase that utterly means nothing

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He's obviously referencing recent events dude

2 months ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

Enlighten me

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 5

It's basically easy what he said. A couple was caught cheating at a cold play concert. The spotlight fell on them and they immediately hid. The singer said (paraphrasing), "oh woops, they might be out here cheating". It went viral, and, sure enough, they were.

2 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Yeah, I wasn't confused about that. I was giving it as an example. Also, that's not recent AT ALL.

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

A rich sleaze was caught cheating at a Coldplay concert. There. You're enlightened.

2 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Wow. THAT's "recent"? I know that OBVIOUSLY. How is saying "you look like you don't cheat" not an backhanded compliment? How is it not re-inforcing the myth that cheating is the norm? How is not even worse that the compliment was actually "You look like you didn't get caught cheating" etc etc. All of the other compliments carry very similar toxic energy (the *least* problematic one alleges that *other* people donot have a healthy relationship with their dads...)
