You, as well! I used to get black out drunk and cry on Christmas and now I’ve graduated to sipping and enjoying my lights and Christmas jazz. There’s so much pressure for a giant, loud, and chaotic day. There’s no shame in learning to enjoy the calmness, either. That was such a hard but necessary lesson. Being at peace doesn’t mean missing out. Merry Christmas to you, too!

My son has a pencil dot in his ear from when he was 5. Still not sure the story of what he was doing, but it’s never gone away (and we have scrubbed!)
