Fact check: the bacterial strain found in the formula that caused the infant death was not the same strain as the bacteria found in the manufacturing plant. The DOJ dropping the investigation indeed looks criminal for sure, but there is nothing slipshod or neglectful in the safety precautions in place at the Abbott plant.
