Set Phasers to bread.

Big mood, Commander Worf.

Pippin tax

Today's message from Pippin: "Pippin."

______
1) Are you on the run to a safe place and passing through Arizona on your way to safer grounds? My apartment is open to you to crash at, and it is a safe space. Pippin and I will make you a meal and gladly share tea, wine, or mead with you.

2) Hey! Take your meds with a full glass of water, please. Do it for Pippin, or Space Mom, or better yet, do it for yourself.

3) Ĝefeloað wē. We will carry on.

4) all funds from the sales of items at these two links will be sent to support charities aiding to fight for Trans rights in the US (not just T-shirts!)

#3 One thing that I'm entirely convinced only worked out accident and not writers competence was how he starts out as a character that really just absolutely annoying, in the way 90s trash TV shows wrote intentionally annoying characters. But Dax, with her lifetimes of experiences knows better, even better than Bashir himself, who mostly just wants to shag her. And he never stops being that annoyance. You just start to see him like Jadzia does as the show goes on. You start loving this jerk. >

Because he's not doing it conciously and it's a lot of fun watching him being an annoyance to everyone. He's got entertainment value and he is not malicious. Once you accept him being annoying, you get a seat in the first row of the "Dr. Bashir brings people to the edge of murdering him" show.

#3 People were just afraid of his Guatemalan-ness, his natural heat

#16 Look, all I'm saying is having Klingon Warbands on the street would get people into a high speed rail system pretty quickly.

I don’t know if it’s good to live your life in a way that terrifies children.

#11 You know, if Galaxy Quest had come out before First Contact, that would have been an absolutely hilarious reference to throw in.

I saw a new "delicacy" in one of our stores, not too long ago. It was "flat croissant". A lovely fluffy, airy, delicious croissant that had been flattened down to the thickness of cardboard.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You can thank TikTok for that. Were they caramelized and dipped in chocolate, too?

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nope. Just ... flat. Still tasted like a croissant, but completely the wrong texture.

Can you please explain it? I'm too dumb to pretend to have an even dumber friend.

I think it’s a Monty Python and the Holy Grail reference. The riddles to cross the bridge. “What is your favorite color?”

This

Took me a second to piece it all together. "It is.... Blue." Was a Scotty line in TOS. The "it is.... Green" was the homage to it by Data in TNG. Now... Shift to Monty Python bridge scene, "What's your favorite color?"

Green in both TOS and TNG.
