Sure but he isn't someone to idolize either. He's toxic and downright abusive to his family, especially Morty and Jerry. He treats life as a big callous joke because he can't separate the forest from the trees. It doesn't matter that there are infinite versions of his family out there. The fact is that he treats the family that's around him like shit more often than not.
Somehow all the chuds either didn't realize or collectively ignored the fact that Paul's whole story is a giant warning about the dangers of charismatic strong men who claim that they'll solve all your problems in exchange for your undying loyalty.
He wouldn't have given Hughie the compound if Hughie didn't, you know, ask for it. Hughie knew what he was likely in for and asked for V anyway. A Train, while still a massive piece of shit, was just doing what Hughie asked in an effort to make up for past wrongs. He's still a piece of shit regardless but he isn't the one responsible for this tragedy.
Rowling, for all her efforts to destroy all the good will she's built up over the last 2 decades, is a better example of an author that went from rags to riches, and didn't have much going for them before their big break

Tomorrow-verse is hit or miss. Man of Tomorrow and Justice Society movie were great but pretty much everything since then has been either terrible or mid. The Crisis movies have been okay so far though
Doubt it. I've got some friends in the game industry as well and while things don't look great for developers in general, the studios are chugging along just fine. AAA studios come and go but as a whole, they're here to stay.

I never said you shouldn't network, just that you shouldn't treat your coworkers at your career job like your friends. The difference is in how you interact and treat them. Again, the analogy makes no sense. I don't need to be friends with my to network so how exactly is this to my detriment in the same vein as buying a gun out of paranoia?
I assumed that because you seem to believe that people shouldn't walk on eggshells at work and equate being a professional who doesn't mingle with their coworkers out of fear of endangering their employment with buying guns out of fear of being robbed, which is fucking wild to me. This isn't some new phenomenon either. It's always been this way when it comes to work. You move with the work culture and you keep your head down to stay employed. Only reason to mingle is to network

Why are you assuming my comment assumes your gender? What about it implied that? I can reply to a dumbass comment made by someone who's never had to deal with frivolous HR bullshit regardless of their gender. This isn't even about women in the workplace so much as it is about HR and its uselessness at keeping the workplace from being toxic. Actual toxic bullshit (nepotism, gossip, bullying) is allowed to run rampant every now but the moment someone says something that would involve actual 1/2
Involved in the actual joke but the use of the term Redskins got reported and my buddy got warned by HR that another report would mean he'd be fired. Meanwhile, actual cases of soft sexism in hiring practices in lead and senior roles, and nepotism go unchecked because HR isn't there to protect anyone. If you weren't so quick to white knight, maybe you wouldn't assume everyone who walks on glass at work isn't some sexist, paranoid loon. 2/2
Just cause it doesn't refer to you doesn't mean I can't use the word in reference to the group I'm talking about. Depending on your field, you can't interact with your coworkers, male or female, like they're your friends. It honestly goes beyond gender and just becomes more about not wanting to risk your livelihood because you said something that could be reported and escalated.
