Now you first see a medical assistant l, if that, who runs through the list of standard questions many of which have nothing to do with why you’re there. Then they get handed to maybe a PA or nurse who performs “tHe PHysiCaL”. Then that all gets fed into a laptop, digested by AI and a narrative spit out. Then, if you’re lucky, the doc comes in, looks at that slop and signs off on whatever advice the the AI generated. Management, which ……

Retired internist here. I used to see all the bogus medical advice and bad science on the internet and feel compelled to comment….to educate. I gave up. Now I sit back with my knowledge and apply it to myself, wife (also an MD) and immediate family. I sit there with my scotch and water, play my video games, read my books and surf the net…

I was simply relaying a personal experience from 30 years ago that I felt was pertinent to the original post.
Our twin daughters took dance classes and liked it. But there comes a point when you have to decide if you’re serious or not. That’s when the injuries seemed to be more prevalent. We knew they’d never be pros so we discouraged them from going further. At that point it wasn’t fun anymore for them either. But they still have great posture even as adults!
