You learn something new every day. Unfortunately it was this.

He never finished the recipe. To this day I still don’t know how to make the perfect omelette. Damn you L.L.

I was born at the tail end of the 70’s and my teenage children still like to ask me what the dinosaurs were like. Just brutal.
So the solution is to cover yourself in wet chemicals and then roll around in a pile of crushed candy canes.
What the hell’s a freeway?
That’s my mop!
I feel like I’m watching my elderly in-laws. This is how they use their phones. It’s chaos.
Good luck in recovery! I had my right wrist done last year. It was a tough road but it was SOOO worth it. I ruined my hand with 20+ years of daily repetitive graphic design and image editing. Your hand will be a little useless for a while. And you’ll probably have some random phantom pains through your palm. And the suture removal is a real bitch. But in the long run you’ll be glad you did it.
Dominos and Papa John’s are the two worst pizza chains in the US.
Is this the same bear who went golfing earlier? Sounds like he’s having a nice day.
Yeah. It’s crazy. I got a little dizzy too. Took a little while for my heart and breathing to get back to normal. It’s not like it’s just mouth pain from being super hot. It’s like a physical reaction inside your body.
#14 the first time I ever had wasabi I thought it was avocado. I ate a huge clump of it all at once. My wife had a look of horror on her face but she couldn’t get the words out fast enough to stop me. The problem wasn’t the heat so much as the full-body reaction I had. My heart started racing, it felt like the entire room stopped, I broke out into a cold sweat, I saw dead people, and I definitely smelled the number purple. I am not a smart man.
I’ve had something similar for 3 weeks now. I stopped taking OTC meds because they weren’t doing anything. Just can’t kick it.
I understand your point. I do. It’s just that stuff like this is a sore spot for creatives like me because we constantly fight against a misunderstanding of what we do, and why it’s worth as much as we charge. Resources like Fivver devalue our work. People who think they’re photographers because they bought a camera, that devalues our work. AI devalues our work. That’s why I stand by my definitions. Because what you can do on your iPhone is not what we mean when we say “image editing”.
If I charge you for photo editing services and all I did was crop the shot, you’re getting ripped off.
That’s not how professionals use those terms. If we exclude something in the shot by cutting down the frame of the photo, we just say we cropped it out.If we take the time to digitally remove an item from the shot (by cloning other objects, blending, and otherwise altering the original image) then we say we edited it out. We don’t use the term “photoshopping”, but that essentially means the same thing - heavier image manipulation, not just something as simple as cropping.
There are tons of posts and comments going around right now about how trump was “photoshopped out”. As a graphic designer and commercial photographer that irritates me. It’s a different shot taken from a lower angle, and all they did was tighten up the one side. They basically just zoomed in a little. And no, you can crop a photo on your damn phone, that doesn’t count as “editing”. When we talk about editing or “photoshopping” we’re talking about the much more intensive work that we do.
It wasn’t photoshopped. They just cropped the side of the shot.
I’ve been working as a designer and commercial photographer for over two decades. Cropping a shot is a basic function that happens to nearly all the photos I shoot, akin to changing the file name. Editing implies much more than that - color correction, perspective shift, cloning out imperfections, manipulating parts of the image, etc. If I told you I edited a photo and all I did was crop it, that’s like a mechanic changing your wiper blades and telling you he gave you a tune up.
And yes I realize you specifically said edited, not photoshopped. But the story going around is that they photoshopped him out. And that’s not true. They simply cropped the shot.
I’m a professional graphic designer. Cropping a photo and “photoshopping” a photo are two completely different things.
That’s true! She did, and we all loved our time in Athens. We’d like to get back to Greece again someday.
My wife and I both had good hats, and we all wore plenty of sunscreen. But by the third day our youngest daughter had a bad heat rash. I tried to get her to cover up a little more, or carry an umbrella, but teenagers can be very stubborn lol.
Trying to hit a flop shot with the ball on a slope at almost waist level? Right next to all that water?
The obnoxiously delusional sense of entitlement this man-child has.
Spent some time in Athens a few weeks ago. My whole family loved it! Wonderful city, very nice people, amazing sights, great experience. If the sun wasn’t trying to kill us the whole time it would have been perfect.
