Definitely the most telling part. Part of that setup includes an entire enclosed fire pit where the wood and fire is supposed to go inside but they just have it all sitting there like it's part of the cooking process along with.. a random cast iron griddle, a second cooking grate (in addition to the one that's already built into the fire pit) and finally the cloche that would only be useful for keeping flies away because no heat from the tiny fire is reaching your food at that point.

you bring up a good point. If anyone is curious how good they are at actually spotting AI, I took a "is it AI?" quiz and bro, I did not do well 😂 I got 5/12 correct. So I agree, I just don't believe shit like this anymore. Using the results of this survey, they're estimating our ability to intentionally distinguish between real and fake is now as reliable as a coin flip

I'd have gotten 12 out of 12 but one I answered correctly it says I got wrong. It shows the one I marked as ai generated as the one ai generated but said I got it wrong. I have different pictures, though. Even took it a second time and it was still incorrect.

That's a shitty quiz. They're using real images to edit with AI instead of fully generating, so there's still a lot of "real" in the fake, and it's ALL only human faces

I think some of them are ai generated. BUT, to be fair, doesn't AI "fully generate" based on scanned pictures and artwork anyways? like it blends everything together based on video and pictures that already exist, it just steals it? Does it ever actually generate something out of nothing?

It generates out of "nothing" in the sense that it has thousands of images and basically tries to combine them. But there's a huge difference between that and generating from an existing, actual photograph; the photo-generated image will always be more realistic.
I'm criticizing it not because of my performance, which was good, but because it IS a shitty test. To be better it'd have stuff like fake social media post, fake landscape photo, fake CCTV traffic image--just general stuff. It's not-
