When Foxtel started showing ads along with an expectation of a higher a subscription I was talking with family member about the blatent cash grab. I felt annoyed that I'd already paid to bypass advertising, family member response was "Well they need to make money some how." I blanked for a second because we'd just spoken about the subscription cost going up. Having a cogent argument and clear logic is lost on a trapped mind. We've been conditioned to think anyway to make money is acceptable.

Brought a friend into a company. Better pay etc. Within 12 months of an IPO 10% "had" to go and they made my friend redundant. We were over worked and understaffed but the market needed blood. I will never forget what they did, and they still asked us to encourage friends to join. Even snuck it into a KPI. I will never ever bring anyone into a workplace again unless they are jobless. To this day I still use what network I have to help my friend out. Coporations only talk loyalty...
