#5 When I was about 12, I had an inordinate amount of interest in gunpowder, so after getting bored making my own, I decided I needed the powder out of a .22 cartridge. I used a couple of pliers to try and twist the bullet out of the shell, forgetting that .22s are rimfire.
I did remember to check myself for holes after it went off.

I am not ashamed of being old and bold.
I am quite ashamed of many of my contemporaries who decided they’d become politicians for all the wrong reasons, had classes in Civics and Government just as I did, and then conveniently and suddenly became willfully ignorant of whole clauses of the Constitution.
Shame on them and everyone who voted for them.
Remember, they all swear an oath to that same Constitution and then systematically violate their oaths. They all need to be (metaphorically) hung

In 1981-82 I did a bunch of senior elective clinical rotations as a visiting student at the U of Michigan Med Center as my wife was getting (2) Master’s and we could live cheaply in married student housing right next door. While on my Pulmonary Med rotation, Anthony Fauci was a guest lecturer and spoke on an obscure and rare autoimmune pulmonary disease. We were a small group of about 15 of us, including students, Residents and a couple of Fellows, and he was dynamic and mesmerizing.
Former (retired) Emergency Physician who once care for a guy, awake and alert with 99% 3rd degree burns from attempting to cut off a muffler mount from the bottom of a gas tank on a car. Had to do escharotomies on all 4 limbs, even though I knew his chance of survival was 0.
#10 This is a wonderful demonstration of a fuel/air explosion. For entertainment bonfires and backyard grilling, gasoline is a TERRIBLE accelerant. It’s waaaay too volatile. Use kerosine or charcoal lighter instead.
I really don’t want to start something here, but over generalizing the behavior of one person to “people” further divides us.
For example, if I saw that cart in that spot, I would, at the very least, take it to the corral or even into the store. So, by over generalizing my actions, “people” are kind and considerate.
Both things are indicators of the behaviors of a person, some are assholes, and some actually give a shit.

#6 When I was 18 or 19, I had a co-worker get one when he was 23 and he said afterwards that had he known how painful it was going to be, especially when he got an unplanned erection, he never would have done it.
