Completely agree. Sometimes you also just need to feel your feelings and let it be. The one promise that made a huge impact on us was that we would never be disrespectful during a fight. We talk about it after we can actually talk about it. No walking away, no raising your voice, nothing. And treat it as us against the problem and not each other (this one doesn't always work).I grew up in a place where domestic violence is normalized so this has been a journey.
