These look amazing! That being said... (yes a little critique) I am a amateur lapidarist. Normally when you can see through a facetted stone, the "wrong recipe" was used. Meaning: When you facet a stone, the material dictates the angles you should use. Those have been optimized for every stone, technically. Which should result in maximum reflection of light. The whole reason stones are facetted. To outshine itself. So these 4 would be "badly faccetted" Cause u look through them. No reflections.

That’s good to know. Part of being an artist is (if you care) learning things like this to get your drawing right. I know a lot of random little things because of research I’ve had to do for drawings. Honestly that makes it easier to draw in this case lol

So basicly you've drawn, badly, facetted stones! (If you'd put one next to it, it should outshine your drawing :D) Again, NOT trying to down your game. Just saying to make them look more real, more reflections should be presented. Anywayz, thanks for the amazing artwork to look at!

My favorites are old mine and old euro cuts, the hand-done cuts meant to shine in candlelight and less focused on pure white shine. Have you ever drawn those styles?

Cool! I'd love to see it if you do. Those old cut stones are quite different from the brilliants of today, which I honestly find rather generic. Like Bacon allegedly said, ‘There is no exquisite beauty without some strangeness in the proportions’
