How does identical houses mean badly optimized? Reusing models is incredibly well optimized for performance and memory use.
And frequently still does not get them. Had to tell the NHS my religion and they did not have an option for atheist. So messed up they even needed that information to make a referral.
They didn't look all that sturdy either when facing being charged by a bison.
I did once know a closeted trans guy who outright told me he wanted to transition for male privilege. He couldn't comprehend why anyone wouldn't want such privilege.A very angry person in many ways.Abuse in people's past can do severe damage to them. I really hope he healed from his suffering.

That topic was part of my history class in high school. Some of the techniques developed are fascinating, as is the social element of a particular clinic which placed great emphasis on having nurses interact with patients as if there were no disfiguring injuries to help confidence. I think several nurses from that place ended up marrying soldiers they met there. The way they helped people regain their lives by developing a field of medicine is amazing.
My mum actually told me she thinks HRT is making me look more cat like.She's insisted I'm basically a cat since before I transitioned.
I'm in the uk. The roads here in my area (badly maintained and patched from utilities issues and cold weather damage) do not have any issues in 32 C weather. The infrastructure for water and electricity does not fail due to hot weather either. Freezing weather usually breaks the water supply a couple of times a year though.This house can stay below the ambient outside temperature just by cooling it with open windows at night and shutting windows during the day. It's made of layers of brick.
Retaining heat and preventing heat ingress is the same. Insulation that keeps a house warm is just as good at keeping a house cool. Opening windows makes a big hole in the insulation; opening at night lets a lot of heat out when the house is hotter than the outside, inverse to how it warms the house during the day.
Northern England.
They heat up pretty quickly in northern England. Mostly because the brits inside them struggle with the concept of it being hotter outside. So to cool down they open windows and let all the hot air in.House at 23 c? Outside at 30 c? They'll still open windows thinking it cools the house.
This is not my experience of the uk; using the c word is very much not ok, at least in my part of England.
It also lets them hide from liability when things go badly wrong from pushing the drivers beyond what's reasonable in a day.
Bringing it back would require it to have been there in the first place
A great deal of European wealth predates the world wars. Lot of the uk did not get destroyed. Buildings from over 100 years ago all over the place.Source: am European.

The royal navy was tasked with intercepting slave ships in the 1800's but that was after a horrific amount of slavery first and the public in the uk had turned against slavery before then and were putting pressure on the government of the time.The UK did oppose the holocaust.

I'm waiting over a year so far to see a specialist. It will be another 5 at minimum. Private care is four figures a year. I can't afford it. I'm lucky a loved one helps me with the cost.The nhs has not worked well for me. It did well at my birth. It did ok in my childhood, excluding the vaccinations being years late because of an nhs error.In my adult life? It has sucked.For those around me? I'd like to see it help just one of them for the sheer novelty of seeing that happen.
Why even have a crawlspace? They don't seem to serve much of a purpose.I've never seen one over here. The plumbing/gas/electrical connections are just buried under the house or go through a wall. It's never been an issue.
Don't forget the uk's wait times. Two weeks to see a gp here.And if the appointment goes wrong due to an nhs mistake? Back to a new 2 week wait. Trans? That'll be years and there's no updates while waiting. They also like removing you from the waitlist if they send you a letter and you don't reply fast enough. The first class post is weekly where I am, so good luck! (Previously I lived elsewhere in the uk and a letter took about 2 months to travel about 2 streets)
It's really not. When the phone is off it's off and modern devices are even encrypted such that they literally cannot finish starting up again until you enter your password. If you're really that worried get something like a pinephone or librem or fairphone which have removable batteries and sometimes hardware switches for wifi/mobile networks.
