I work with and for some speed demons, as I am a cog in the car industry. Something that surprised me when I figured it out is that the dickheads who are cruising along at 80-90 mph, zipping around and in between other cars with reckless abandon aren't actually trying to get anywhere in particular. The mindset can be described simply as "Hee hee, go fast!" That's the whole thought. This logic can appeal to many people, but not road rage dickheads. They have different logic driving them.
