Same thing Tubbs did over in Alabama. Currently running for governor, but voted in Florida in 2018. You have to be an Alabama resident for 7 consecutive years prior to the election to be governor. His evidence for Alabama residency is a homestead exception filed in 2017, so he either committed voter fraud by voting in a state where he did not live or tax fraud by filing a homestead exemption for a house that isn't his primary residence; he can't have it both ways.

I remember the Judge that gave his light sentence was railed and retired the same year. Year later he fled to Mexico with his mom and the manhunt for him. I did have to check to see it was Texas and not one of the other shit states down there, like Florida, Arizona, or such.
And thanks to Wikipedia see that Abbot stated he was looking to appeal it when he was AG during the gov race for Texas in 2014. Texas trash fire all at the top.
