So you're looking for dirt on me instead of addressing something I said...

Imagine cheating and still loosing.

I hadn't thought of the fact in #8 as a pro-trans argument before.

He's gonna stay in office several more years until he finally croaks just like Dianne Feinstein did.

Neither does DSA for that matter since the rank and file keeps supporting Democrats like Hakeem Jeffries.

And Reuters was among those whitewashing Israel's genocide of Palestinians. This now means they admit they were complicit in the mass killing of children.

In 2016 you had Our Revolution members outright fighting against the Dem party from the inside, calling the Hillary campaign out for cheating. In 2020 the Dems cheated again but this time there weren't any left-of-center Dems in the party to complaint about it. They were all ousted in the intervening years.

Mamdani also won entirely because Andrew Cuomo is a rapist and a mass killer, the Dem party literally ran a Trump clone in plain daylight. Mamdani wasn't riding a leftist wave.

But you got franchise owners who hate you more than they do competitors (Republicans), and the individual franchises in the analogy are not actual buildings. Also, wasn't the DCCC in massive massive debt right after 2024?

Outside the party, you just said it. They can’t cheat the intra-party vote count when they’re outside of it. They can’t invent rules to nullify primaries altogether (as they did in 2024).

You still have to fight them externally, I agree with that, but how is that any different from the fight against Republicans?

Again I point out that an entire decade after 2016, we are further back than where we started from. At what point will you consider other options?

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Because I do not consider both paths to be similar, obviously. When building a 3rd party, you're not fighting against an army of octogenarians among your ranks hellbent on excising you from the party and crushing any reform. And the Nancy Pelosis and Chuck Schummers are just the tip of the iceberg, you also have to contend with the Donna Braziles or Debbie Wasserman Schultzs at every state and local level.

You said both options feel the same to you, so why can't you consider a 3rd party?

If they're largely the same, why not take those steps?

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 10

I don't think we can. We've been at it since 2016 and we're further away than ever before.

We need a new party and let the Dems die out in irrelevancy.

You guys wash your rice? For what?

The Dem party exists to stop you from doing exactly that. They lie and cheat their way into preventing anyone from becoming a threat to the status quo. They either stop you from appearing on the ballot at all, like they did Butch Ware in CA just months ago; or they dissuade you into relenting either by straight bribes, with lies so you desist, or with promises so you concede. Either way, the fire is lost, and the party refuses to change.

I'll believe the no confidence vote when I see it, every single candidate running in the Democratic party (even DSA ones) prostrate themselves into being accepted and tow the party line. AOC is supposedly this maverick but she advocated for Joe Biden at the height of his senility and his support for genocide.

One of the newly elected DSA Dems literally apologized to Kamala Harris for saying "fuck you". How can anyone expect they'll stand up to the party later?

The Democratic party exists to stop any leftward movement by co-opting movements and calls for change. They then offer noncommittal rhetoric or implied stances that they will turn away from once elected and tow the party line instead.

Just look at how BLM. Democrats promised changes, some candidates were elected almost entirely on their BLM stance, now the movement is dead. And no real change was enacted other than another increase to police budgets. More George Floyds was apparently the goal.

It's not ideological between US-Canada when they both follow the exact same Capitalist ideology. Please.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But Trump is not the New York Times, he's not the Washington Post, he's not your local news station. Capitalist nations call each other Socialist as an insult, but those insults don't carry any of the brutal mechanisms with which they inflict harm on Socialist countries.

Your mail isn't stopped from getting to Canada, you're not barred from traveling to Canada, you don't get put on a list if you come from there, you are not getting blockaded. Please stop pretending this is in any way the same.

They post the definition of capitalism and blocks me in order to not have to relate it to their earlier nonsensical arguments. At least they know a little more now, I guess.

Your description of US-Canada relations is correct, but my point is that it's different with Cuba because they're fighting over ideology.

You don't see borderline religious news cast in the US about Canadian politics being anti-freedom, or calling the Canadian PM a dictator, or that the Canadian people yearn for the US to invade so they can free the markets; or have ex-pats paraded nationally about the evils of Canadian life. None of these require all-out war, but all of these they do to Cuba.

"install themselves as petty despots in a moneyless society"

It's like saying if Satan became ruler of heaven, just a nonsensical statement. Once again I ask, what do you think Capitalism means?

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I have to ask, what do you think Capitalism means, exactly? Because it sounds like you're confused. If they abandoned Capitalism, they wouldn't want to maintain their hegemony.

You're describing Capitalism when you say that they would seek the eternal accumulation of capital and would therefore enact violence to achieve that goal.

Canada does not threaten the US international hegemony in the slightest. In fact, they work with it, which ends up strengthening it. Just look at Canada's stance on Israel's genocide of Palestine, it's a mirror of US policy. And that is because they're already captured by Capitalism, they have the same goals. They just have public spats over who controls what.

Also, Russia is not the Soviet Union, they do not care about Cuba as an ideological project.

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The status quo is capitalism though, what do you mean they don't care about maintaining it?

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's primarily about communism though. Capital accumulation requires exploitation, therefore meddling in other country's affairs and weakening their state is a necessary step towards easing the capture of their industries. But note how differently the US attacks Cuba.

A blockade is an act of war, and the US has been waging a war for over 60 years. The difference here is that Cuba is openly Communist and they serve as a reminder that there is a way of life outside of Capitalism.

Finkelstein has always been consistent, here he is way back in October 26, 2023 on Piers Morgan's show:

Israel is the US' lap dog, the reason why Netanyahu has been able to break the ceasefire is because the US doesn't want to accept the ceasefire deal to begin with.

Trump only pretends to want a ceasfire in order to appease the stock market, then he gives the green light for Israel to break it again, but that trick only works so many times. Hope he finally gives up.

One moron cop started beating the Palestine Action protesters and one of them struck back in self defense. The assault from the cop was so unnecessarily aggressive that the sham court couldn’t even pretend there was any maliciousness in their retaliation. But a moron cop got hurt so they had to tack on a charge and simply added that it was “without intent”.

"Two crew members were rescued"

Is anyone believing this crap still? "The crew members were sent to live in a farm upstate."
