There are no good reasons for moderate Democrats to oppose the left wing of the party. These DSA candidates are exactly what the Democrats need to win against Trumpism, people are tired of inauthentic centrist Third Way politics.

Disappointed to see Janelle Bynum on there. Out she goes.

We're about ready for a party flip again. This time though, the Republicans will die off, Democrats will become the old school Republicans plus some new racism heavily built in, and we'll get a new party to represent the people instead of corporations.
At least it's my hope, to a degree

Moderate Democrats are about to find out that they don't decide the party politics. If they don't move along with their constituents they will be left behind.

Now who pays their bills?

Tom Suozzi and Laura Gillen, no surprise there. Two of the richest districts in NY. They know what side their bread is buttered on.

Today’s Democrats are 1980’s Republicans in disguise.

Their definition of socialism and capitalism are wrong.... but they know that, just like they know their constituents dont..

"moderate" dems, or as the rest of the world would call them: fascism enablers / corrupt corporate stooges / enemies of everyone who does an honest day's work for a living...

IOW AIPAC please send us money, make sure you sign the check clearly so we can differentiate your bribes from the ones we get from corporations. Thanks.

I'm researching all my candidates, not a single vote will go to anybody taking AIPAC money.

This is essentially 11 people admitting they don't know what either capitalism or socialism is

Is it? They are conservatives. That's not a secret. That's what happens when you have 2 parties and one of them is full fascist; _everyone_ to the left of that is in the other party's coalition, including imperialists, capitalists, and religious nuts who aren't fascist. And I'd like to point out that for American voters, that's still not enough: they crave fascism. Nothing short of that will do.

The Democratic party exists to stop any leftward movement by co-opting movements and calls for change. They then offer noncommittal rhetoric or implied stances that they will turn away from once elected and tow the party line instead.

Just look at how BLM. Democrats promised changes, some candidates were elected almost entirely on their BLM stance, now the movement is dead. And no real change was enacted other than another increase to police budgets. More George Floyds was apparently the goal.

Sometimes the best of the worst options is to operate within a broken system while also trying to fix that system in other ways.

The Dem party exists to stop you from doing exactly that. They lie and cheat their way into preventing anyone from becoming a threat to the status quo. They either stop you from appearing on the ballot at all, like they did Butch Ware in CA just months ago; or they dissuade you into relenting either by straight bribes, with lies so you desist, or with promises so you concede. Either way, the fire is lost, and the party refuses to change.

I don't expect the Democratic party machine to make it easy, but I don't think the better choice is for leftists to be spoilers in a general election when they know the outcome will be to put a Republican into power.

I am glad to see the DSA is having more success lately, and the DNC certainly hasn't corrupted Mamdani, yet.

I am not without hope. I hope you have hope too.

as someone who is running, we get basically zero support from the party. that is zero support from national, state, and local party levels. The DSA candidates and leftist candidate i meet up with often are basically impeach trump day 1, and when that gets blocked by dem leadership. day 2 no confidence vote for leadership. Note these are florida candidates for congress.

AOC and Mamdami are already standing behind Hakeem Jeffries for speaker. 🙄 https://x.com/ProudSocialist/status/2070867788055654772

I'll believe the no confidence vote when I see it, every single candidate running in the Democratic party (even DSA ones) prostrate themselves into being accepted and tow the party line. AOC is supposedly this maverick but she advocated for Joe Biden at the height of his senility and his support for genocide.

One of the newly elected DSA Dems literally apologized to Kamala Harris for saying "fuck you". How can anyone expect they'll stand up to the party later?
