Unlike trucks and older cars, agricultural tractors don't have a separate chassis, and the loads and stresses are actually carried through the engine block and the rear axle/gearbox, which are designed to handle the loads from farming tasks, but when they're abused in scenarios like the above, and pushed too far by ill-educated users with no concept of stresses, mechanical shock or what constitutes abuse, failures like the above are the result.

Worldwide, insurance industry figures show that petrol/diesel vehicles are 80 (eighty) times more likely to catch fire than battery-powered ones. That's not to say that EVs never catch fire, but it is a lot less likely.

I grew up there in the 70's - the single-storey shop on the left in #3 was The Golden Gift Shop, where we used to buy cheap kids trinkets from the far east ("Made in Japan") and the pink paper roll of caps for our Lone Star toy pistols. My parents used to bank in the place on the right (it was Ulster Bank back then).

We’ve had Merlin, our rescue, for over a year now (he’s about five), and have never fed him canned food, but he still runs to the kitchen whenever he hears the pull-ring of a (human) food can, because he must have been fed canned food in his previous life. Strangely, he also hates the doorbell (any of 40 melodies), but sleeps through hairdryers and vacuums, even inches away.

www.iceman.it is the site for Otzy and here is the news story about the yeast in his biome https://www.iceman.it/en/news/otzi-and-his-microbiome-roommates-from-5-300-years-ago_23217 - I visited a few years ago and it’s the closest thing to time-travel I’ve experienced.

The blue for me, the salmon looks like it couldn't decide between pink or orange and fell between two stools. PS: make sure whichever one you pick has 5 doors, a 3-door car that small will be very awkward if you want to put any people/items in the back seats/trunk when the seats are folded down.

It's got the twin central exhausts, but a lot of lesser Golfs have lookalike conversion kits fitted to make them look like an R32.

Similar funny story about Brendan Behan (Irish playwright and notorious drinker): Canadian Interviewer: "So, what brings you to Canada, Brendan?" Brendan: "Well, I was in a pub in Dublin, and I saw a sign saying "Drink Canada Dry", so I thought I'd come over and give it a go".

You think the electoral system is still the source of his power, and that any particular election result will change that?

See also: the Y2K bug which turned out to be “a non-event” (because of all of the work done during the late 1990’s).

This (very funny) hatchet job shows just how brilliant the BeeGees harmonies actually were.

It's connected to the indoor unit by two pipes full of refrigerant at high pressure, this is far quicker than extracting the refrigerant into a holding tank and disconnecting the lines and then having to do a vacuum test (to check for leaks) after reconnecting, before re-charging the system.

In fairness, there are still walkable areas in many cities, but it was to good a wordplay to pass up.

It was the CFC-based propellant that was used in hairspray (and all other aerosol products) that was banned. If the hairspray recipe has been changed it’s probably because it was bad for humans (or maybe ok for humans, but not profitable enough)

Apparently, 4/5 of cats are lactose intolerant - our guy loves it, but we can't give him any, as he pebble-dashed the kitchen when we tried it. We call it diarrhea juice in relation to him.
