The best argument I've heard is "The math is hard". And the fact that THAT is the best argument, that's saying something. And like, it sure could be, but not only do we live in a age where most people's washing machines have more computing power than the rocket that put man on the moon, but people who have a lot of money and thus need to do a lot of hard math usually have people hired specifically to do that hard math.
I thought it was touching upon the Denial kink, tantalizing a pretty lady with what she rather clearly wants and denying it her again and again in a deliberately exaggerated manner, until the sequel video where they actually put the objects in the right hole makes it infinitely more satisfying than it would have been without the denial before hand.
Over the past decade, I've become increasingly convinced we've fallen in love with a myth of competence. The idea that ANYONE in charge of ANYTHING knows what they're doing. That any business leader gets there because they are good at their job and know what they're talking about, that any politician is actually qualified to do their job, and so on. Look how much of the economy is based on obviously bad business strategy, for example.
There are many economists who are pro-socialism. They just aren't the ones hired by big companies to espouse their views on the news and social media.
In their defense, imagine if you had no TV or Phone or Internet or Computer, not even Books, and your only method of interacting with the world is with your mouth or hooves.

And said actions are fighting corrupt governments even when said governments pass laws that say don't fight them.

A healthy economy where there are lots of jobs available would enable people to easily leave one job and get another for any given reason, including just wanting a change of pace. If only we had such an economy.

This is kinda entering the field of pedantry, for common usage of the word 'Socialism' has long since stopped meaning 'No private property'. We want the fruits of our labor to be equitably distributed, it's really that simple, call that philosophy whatever you want, most news organizations and politicians are calling it socialism.
Also : A lot of "Socialists" will be perfectly happy to settle for a MORE equitable distribution, even if it isn't "fully equitable". Heck, most "Socialists" aren't even socialists, they are just called that by the capitalists who want a LESS equitable distribution.
AFAIK, we're only in the minority because most people don't know enough to even have an opinion. A lawn of clovers look looks absolutely lovely, and is lower maintenance.
Officialdata.org says that $85k in 1776 is the equivalent of 3.6 MILLION today. So even accounting for inflation... the amount of money is absurd.
There are several possible answers, the most likely is that, like most prepers, they are overestimating their own skills and misunderstand what they SHOULD be prepping, focusing instead on stuff they think is cool. Like big barrels of gasoline, without proper conditioning for long-term storage to boot, but they only have several cases of bottled water.

People really have a hard time understanding just how much money ONE billion is, let alone dozens or hundreds of billions that some people have.

I'm in the same camp. It's bitter! Even the artisanal fancy made stuff. The stuff that actually makes it coffee, is bitter. Same with Alcohol. AFAIK, people who like coffee (and alcohol) primarily like it because of the **drug**, and everything else is bonus points along with the drug. They like Caffeine, enough so that it trumps the bitter, and all the other stuff is nice too.
Fun fact : $50k/yr/person is the equivalent of each inmate earning $25/hr, full time. This proves that even normal prisons are a fucking ripoff, and/or its insane we're expecting normal people outside of prison to be able to live off less than that.

We have evidence (in the comic) that the bones don't just pop into and out of existence as needed, meaning any and every form utilzes the same skeletal structure even if moved around. And yet, despite that, it's arms and torso seem pretty set in stone, and aren't a long sinuous string that can be contorted the same way it's tail is.
