Typical pathetic example of the fucking we are about to get daily. Guy selling a fancy box of playing cards on eBay. No info. Did AI search. AI looked at a blurry upside down picture on the cards and told him it was a pre-1927 Pan Am logo of a Spirit holding a globe. Added two long paragraphs of total bullshit made up fiction details. Enlarged, it was clearly a workman on his knees using a trowel to smooth concrete in front of a globe form (possible Union or construction promo). We are doomed!
No disrespect, but this is another one of those "Who?" items. I like to think I'm an "fairly aware" person but I have never heard of him, the song or the movie.

Local guys (Sierra Mountains) sometimes just stand in the fields and watch the cars go by on the road. Saw a great one one day. He had been hit, died, gone stiff with its hind leg crossed over and someone had gotten him a pair of doll sunglasses, made a little cigarette and propped him up on a corner. Hilarious! He was there for a long time.

Had a good friend who was an Orthopedic Surgeon who told me many years ago that if people could see the sledge hammers and two foot long screwdrivers that were used instead of the dainty "scalpels" they assume, he would be out of business.
The Carnegie Hero Fund medal and the National Lifesaving Medal (maritime heroism) should definitely be awarded for this action. This isn't a quick "reach through the window and pull out the driver from the burning car" event. This required him to repeatedly decide to stay and fight to save a life at obvious risk to his own - over and over.
Real joy to hear and watch someone who really knows how to do something somewhat unusual. True professional!

I still don't understand how the Russians bomb Ukrainian cities daily, hitting obviously civilian targets (schools, hospitals, apartments) and yet they do not receive the same in return. Uks seem to totally concentrate on military and infrastructure targets. Why not just drop a few randomly on Moscow civilian areas. Are they concerned that if it comes to "tit for tat" they simply won't have the armaments to trade blow for blow?
