Test early, test often. Things went sideways on me at 48, and life would be so much different if they had checked at 45. (You're not going to remember the test anyway, just realize you're back in the car on the way home.)
a few randomly chosen bolts will have left-hand threads
Don't leave out the million dead during COVID while stealing medical supplies to ship to Russia. All handwaved away.
Four of his and one of yours.
Words of wisdom. The surgery to repair my incisional hernia put me down almost as long as the original.
Earplugs under active canceling headphones, hearing tests have always been fine. I can hear her watch ticcing from across the room - which she can't hear - but multiple conversations at the same time just blurs into static.
I still call it RomneyCare. Still a trigger word.
#36 Very real. I can hear a tap chip in a roaring machine shop, but no idea what my wife is saying over all the kitchen noise with her Hallmark blaring in the background. Forget trying to hear anything in a restaurant with all the voices.
I'd advise against that. You have to clean the entire shop afterwards.
The winery around the corner from the cliff brands their wines as "Falling Cow". https://lakechelanwinery.orderport.net/product-details/7902/2022-falling-cow-gold
Bowl of Theseus, eventually solid gold.
I watched a company try. Let's outsource all of our critical positions! It'll be like printing money! Doors closed a few months later.

Reality gets a little soft around the edges after you've been up for a hundred-plus hours. Couldn't trust anything I was seeing.
"It's my right to infect whoever I want!" There comes a point where you jtop stop talking to them.
I knew several that voted for Trump to "teach the Democrats a lesson". Trump would have lost key states if the Bernies had sat it out instead of changing sides. That's how you get dismissed as an anarchist rather than being invited to the table next time around. (Same for Arab-Americans in 2024. Lesson learned, I guess.)
Two weeks ago, the US published this: "The Committee notes that the Spanish-administered cities of Ceuta and Melilla are located in Moroccan territory and remain the subject of Morocco's longstanding claim. The Committee supports efforts by the Secretary of State to encourage diplomatic engagement between Morocco and Spain on the future status of Ceuta and Melilla." This is just payback for Spain not joining Trump's strikes on Iran. "
My state raised waitstaff pay to $20/hour, and food prices doubled in response. Now I'm seeing tip screens at 30% or more. I've stopped going out until they pick one or the other.
Dividers at both ends to be safe. The new register layout often means I'm a long way from my grocery pile and I don't have faith in people to keep their piles separate. (As tempting as it is to add a few mystery items when they're not looking.)
Some of the bigger drones did come back to refuel/rearm (Baba Yaga), but many drones are now cheap enough that a longer one-way trip with a larger warhead is preferred over trying to get it back. (It may even be cheaper or easier to build a new one than to spend the manpower flying one home to have someone refurbish them.)
Had to undo what Obama did.
Soros isn't a boogieman anymore; Secretary of Treasury Bessent used to run Soros Fund Management. This is all on Biden cabal.
This. The protection from "right to work" is huge if it means you don't have to start over someplace new every few years. The dues are a rounding error compared to the income loss of suddenly not having a job one morning.
#16 I've seen this exact expression at the hospital before. "That's not how this works. That's not how any of this works."(My local ER has notes in my file, to save the next team from another double facepalm. "That can't be right...oh, wait, it says here not to look at that number.")
I'm in. I'm running out of organs for them to take.
I've seen several positions disappear shortly after applying for them, gone from the site like they never existed. One had ridiculously niche requirements that only a handful of people could possibly meet, and all of us knew each other. No response and listing deleted. Their software vendor called them afterwards to ask them what was going on. "You do realize that he's the only one on the West Coast? We've been trying to hire him for years."
Exactly. It's not ruined, it just needs another $14 million dollar paint job.
High inflation owns the libs. A higher trade deficit owns the libs. Failures are to be celebrated if they annoy someone else.

IT resets the profile. HR removes the boss. This doesn't even escalate past Tier 1 help desk.
