I think it's that the picture is so clear, in focus and high contrast that it looks better than the person's vision in real life
I love how "covered in snow and possibly frozen to death" translated to "very unwell". Very British and understated description

I (Indian 28F) was in El Paso and needed to go to shop - 10min walk ~8pm. Random concerned mom: get a taxi and tell them to wait, dont walk

When it got foggy I was afraid for a moment
Not so bad if it's waxed. Shaving is the worst as you end up cutting the end of the hairs into perfect stab needles.
