It also may have been humid, because that fucks up the rise and the gluten.

They want society to collapse, though, and for all of us to regress to what they think is the appropriate level of technology for the earth's survival. People who post things like that are generally anprims and ecofascists.
They are. It's deeply tiring as an adult to be viewed as suspicious because my parents only reproduced once. After seeing it enough, it doesn't land as a joke, it reads like the people who say such things in all seriousness, especially when the poster doubles down on "oh, only children who respond to me are acting like selfish brats!"
Like, I assure you I learned to share in kindergarten like everyone else.
Which means, of course, that we're spoiled little brats who need "rigorous training" before we live with other people who aren't parents/family. If you've never met someone who views only children with suspicion, great! I have.
Uh huh. And that's our fault, of course. We're the ones being judged, you know, for what our parents did. And... you know not every only child is a spoiled brat, right? Like, most of us aren't, I'd say. It's just that people who have siblings assume we are.
#27 I always wonder why people blame only children for being only children. What do you want us to do? Sabotage our parents' birth control?
#26 See you, space cowboy

And all of those books are for adults, which, good if you're an adult who wants to read about adults, but Harry Potter is a kids series. For kids. There are newer, better ones for kids, but I'd recommend Diane Duane's If You Want To Be a Wizard series. They're about ordinary kids who enter a magical world and learn how to use magic.
