I'm not a real Doktor, but I am a real weasel, I am an actual weasel. I live like a weasel.
Helen of Troy is played by a black woman. And Eliot Page is in it somewhere. That's basically it. That's what pissed off the anti-woke crowd.
Yeah, I remember in 2016 there was a huge breathless article about The Clinton Foundation and despite finding nothing at all, they treated it like it was a scandal. Meanwhile there was like one reporter in the world looking at Trump's "charity" and finding blatant crime after crime like it giving an illegal campaign contribution to Pam Bondi (who had entertained the idea of joining the suit against Trump University, but decided not too right after the contribution).

I actually liked Creep 2 better. The first established the formula, and the second subverted it in an interesting way. I'm curious about the show but haven't seen it.
The Labrys wasn't just a connection to the Amazons that's a later usage. its origin is as an ancient Minoan religious symbol which was used for their mother goddess and some other goddesses. Many were used as votive offerings.. Some later Greeks used it with male gods, but the origin was a decidedly female symbol. With the connection to a mother goddess, it's not hard to see the symbolism of the double-bitted axe. It resembles female genitalia, the source of life.
Exactly. He's been claiming the ability to do anything he wants. The courts stop a lot of it, but some slips through. If the courts don't let him do it unilaterally he'll get a law rubber-stamped by republicans in congress. Some of the unconstitutional stuff will slip through the courts. And they've moved the conversation way into fringe territory, which eventually becomes mainstream. They've done this before where what was a crackpot fringe idea in the 60s is now repeated by SCOTUS.

first term and replaced it with nothing. That just proved the point of the extreme anti-US people in Iran, that the US could not be trusted to ever agree to anything, because they'll just turn their back on the agreement. Actual diplomacy could have potentially brought Iran out of pariah status into a normal country with standard relations to the world. Trump killed it and got nothing in return. Then he did this awful war and is trying to end on terms absurdly favorable to Iran. The US lost.
Yep. Obama's deal was a damn good one. Iran made serious concessions including the robust inspections, enrichment limits etc. The money in that case was already Iran's and was ruled by a US court that it needed to be returned to Iran. It didn't fix anything, because it wasn't trying to. It was stopping the imminent threat and setting the groundwork for future talks. That last is huge. Iran had ZERO trust for the US, and this built some for the first time. But Trump destroyed the deal in his
This war is a devastating defeat for the US. Trump invaded for poorly defined reasons, had no plan and just kind of blew stuff up until he got tired and wanted out, then agreed to surrender to Iran. In the process, the IRGC is completely in control through a puppet leader who may not even be alive. Their control and ability to tax the Straight of Hormuz is cemented now and there's the unfrozen funds, sanctions lifted and $300 billion reconstruction fund. This is all entirely on Trump.
Oh this is nothing like Obama's agreement. His had actual enforcement with inspections and actually addressed the nuclear program, while this kicks the can to a later agreement and just agrees to talk about an agreement. This is a complete surrender. Most of what Iran is agreeing to, is to basically set things back to just before the war (except significantly more favorable to them). Lifts sanctions, gives $300 billon of US money to them (the Obama agreement gave them their own money).
Good point.

Cute little baby pine-cone.
That's where machine learning comes in.
Yeah, someone else posted the full video, and the guy called a beekeeper, who said that exact thing. The queen had already moved in in that big ball of bees.
In a non-idiocracy, RFK Jr wouldn't be allowed anywhere near having authority over healthcare.
I hung out with the newsletter crew at a sci-fi con, and they of course had printers and a cat. At one point I was left to babysit the cat (and everyone's dinner) as the rest were going to things. The cat was fascinated by the printer. I saw him at one point whack at the printer several times until he hit the form-feed button and watch as it spit out paper and he seemed very pleased with himself after that.
Oh, I love that one.
Polecat
And the babies are in the same position as the previous pic, when she was down with them. So she was down there and decided she needed some space, soon after.

I'm pretty sure that is why the political strategy stuff was brought up, not that it's all politics in defense of rights too.
To the right, the massive anti-LGBT push they're doing is mainly about political strategy. Particularly the anti-trans stuff. They didn't spontaneously start being supper concerned about where trans people pee, a few years ago. It was a test case of their strategy of using trans people as a wedge issue to scare moderate voters about people they don't understand. And it may have helped the GOP. They can't really rely on anti-gay stuff so much because too many people know someone gay to be scared
Chipmunks are a type of ground squirrel. So they're still squirrels. Just not the tree-climbing type.
I think bio-monitors showed that they were getting stress relief while driving too.

Meanwhile Trump is setting back the US renewable industry dramatically as a handout to the fossil fuel industry. Yet another way Trump is giving American dominance away to China.
