I think you're massively overthinking this. I don't think the video is saying he's "better". It's just a joke contrasting most weather channels beautiful women and the stark contrast of this old man speaking a harsh language.But I also understand he probably is a "better metrologist" because he actually has a PhD and understands the science. But does that matter if your just the presenter of the knowledge? Not really. So no one is really "better" at that
Isn't German basically radically different from German itself depending on if your in the north, south, east or west?

It's not 9.8 on IMDb tho? 9.8 would make it the highest rated show of all time by like 0.5 point. It's 8.4. Which is still great for IMDb. But 9.8 is absurd by their metrics for a whole show
I think the point is she's not really just looking for bad spots, or she wouldn't put his back. She has a bias that she's able to identify the best ripeness of tomato and subconsciously biased that his picks aren't as superior as hers
