What does "white jesus" even have to do with it? Do you think that, if you went to Lebanon or Ethiopia or India and asked the Christians there they would say they *don't* believe in demons?
I dislike Trump and Vance as anyone, but I guess I'm not clear on what the problem exactly is here? I certainly hope y'all aren't insisting that the UFOs must be aliens, because that seems incredibly unlikely, so is the issue that Vance believes in demons and thinks that's what they are? I just don't really see why that's such an issue either?
Okay, so, 1) they are asking college kids on Spring Break, it looks like. How many of us were particularly aware of political stuff when we were in college?2) These sorts of segments *always* choose to air the folks that show what they want to show, and not the folks who don't.

Well....that's disappointing. That said, I'm doubtful of this claim that the Simpsons "predictions" could have all come form Groening being connected to Epstein. Honestly....the Simpson's predictions have always struck me as being on par with darn near every other literary or televised or whatnot predictions: simply looking at "how things are now" and extrapolating from there.
What does Mel Brooks have to do with Epstein *or* with The Simpsons?

The French Rev was largely led by minor nobility and the middle class; poorer rural areas tended to, IIRC, favor the monarchy. Russian Rev was also generally led by educated middle-class or lower nobility, I believe. At *most*, revolutions seem to happen when educated upper folks convince enough lower folks to join, not driven bottom-up.
Even if that's true, he would've been able to do so because the war was a direct response to an attack on American soil. Afghanistan came under fire on the basis that they were harboring and protecting al-Qaeda. So fine, this is still totally different from the current moron's actions in Iran.

It wasn't just Bush who led us into it, he had the full support of Congress, and he went into Afghanistan with a coalition of 50-something other countries. Whatever you may think of Bush, himself, I just don't think the War in Afghanistan compares to the absolute shitshow the current dumbass has stumbled into in Iran.

Idk, I very much agree with the message of the movie, but I couldn't finish watching it. I remember it definitely coming off as very preachy and very left-wing persecution complex, which was disappointing, because the actual point is important!
The thing is, even this is a rather twisted reading of the Old Testament, focusing on the bits about killing enemies and such, and completely leaving off all the bits like Lev 19:33-34, which says to care for foreigners in your land, or the whole Year of Jubilee thing, or Lev 23:22, which says to leave crops at the edge of your field alone, so the poor can come harvest that bit and have something to eat.

Example: you are sitting in a restaurant talking to another person. Tons of things to distract you from that: TV on the wall, other conversations, server filling your water glass, &c. You naturally filter all of that out to focus on the other person, and you may not even be aware you are doing so unless something (tired, drunk, &c.) impedes that.Someone with ADHD, however, may not be able to do that, and is certainly having to *choose* to ignore each of those things more intentionally.
