Yes, I oppose that. Religious fundamentalism has never done the world good. What would qualify as not ignoring it so we can talk about this?
Normally when I hear that argument it is used as an excuse to treat people poorly. Granted your statement did not come out and say what your intention is at all. What was your intention behind your statement? Also do you have a source for that claim?

I would argue the opposite. They authored the first amendment to prevent things they were seeing happen that were an attack on freedom.

It is telling that he is complaining about the woman that is the daughter of a god in goose form hatched from an egg is black but isn't complaining that the main character isn't Greek.

I've got a friend that is a bit of a woodworker that lives in Missouri and made a nice table in the shape of Missouri. He wanted to make one for his son but he lives in Colorado.
I do claim Animaniacs as ours. Yes I was in college at the time making me technically outside the target age range, but let's face it, it was very funny to all ages.
Looney Tunes was being created from 1930-1969. I'm a gen-xer myself and I don't claim Looney Tunes as ours. Sure I watched reruns of it growing up but it was not meant for us. It is about to be 100 years old.
I've known a few people that view themselves as survivalists. They won't outright say it but when talking to them about what life would be like after some sort of collapse I get the distinct impression that one of the things they are looking forward to is killing people with a clean conscience.
It also illustrates that in a physical combat numbers will win.
