I'm an SRE living in a CloudOps world! From hosting game servers to automating everything, but mainly I lurk - 8 years and how many posts!?

Dogs attach to emotion. Show none and they think they're just tired. Be upset and that final lick is them knowing they confirmed you. I foster, I've done my rainbow bridges. The bond of sharing emotions is bonding, even if it lasts less than a second.

Personal experience here; the electrician will complete and then say he’s done. If you’re lucky he’ll leave the cut out disks. If you didn’t book a dry waller, you’re a few weeks with a Swiss cheese ceiling, never mind repainting. Good luck if you have mice in the walls…..

I’ve been there. Per a lot of comments, if it’s happening still get it checked to ensure it isn’t being caused by something else. If scans etc come clean then there are preemptive therapies like indomethacin - search for “Update on primary headache associated with sexual activity and primary thunderclap headache” and look at treatments. Might give you some confidence to try again

https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/full/10.1177/03331024221148657 - technical read but I’m glad what I went through was textbook.

Great PSA. They are no joke, I crawled up in a ball rocking for what seemed like hours basically accepting that it was my time.

When I recovered I remember tidying the flat (I lived alone) in case it happened again and I didn’t make it. Stupidly didn’t go to hospital because of an embarrassing trigger which lasted for months.

When I finally went to the doctors, my 10 minute appointment lasted 45, with a referral to A&E. Thankfully, all safe, and there’s an article about it I’ll link below

I forgot all about this, burning hours of lunch and after school. Nostalgia for sure!

He said the 1950 Defense Production Act would only be invoked "in a worst case scenario in the future". It just got invoked.......

Should the uh oh scale consider general ER availability? Ie hospitals fill up, so higher risk no surgery if, let's say, I fall off a ladder?

Throw this in with a Fragged Empire (or something similar) rulebook and could be quite fun as an RPG

The ruined city reminds me of the art from Amid the Ashes. Must dust off that kit game and give it another twirl & add this as a bonus tile!

There are very few games where a sideline story makes me drop a controller and just sit there thinking. This is one of them.

"The square root of 912.04 is 30.2... it all seemed harmless...." A reminder that even in war we must have ethics. ME2: Overlord. (1/2)

I would also recommend the Four Thieves in Clapham - they have remote control car racing... it's awesome!

This has been debunked - the image was RT, causing Google to link the image to the 2015 (when the account was created)

AR2665 will come back in about 2 weeks. It has farted on the other side of the sun which caused a CME. This is the calm before the storm....

True, but a freediver only has his one breath which compresses, therefore there might not be the volume of air to do that 40m down.

tbh it's mostly training, practice, and skill. And probably fitness. Maybe mostly fitness...

This. The difference between Scuba and Freediving is Scuba diver keeps breathing - renewed nitrogen etc. Freedivers have their lungs.
