Life before death, strength before weakness, journey before destination.

I had a lot of fun watching the Barbie movie with my wife cause she explained all the Barbie-lore which was really interesting. I did the same with the HeMan-lore for her. She actually seemed into it. When I saw the preview I was liked “It’s Man-at-Arms! FISTO! Mecha-neck!” She was like, “are those their real names?” “Oh ya!” 😂

I think yall are thinking of Alison Brie - she played Evil-Lyn.

She played the Sorceress in the new Masters of the Universe movie. It was really fun to watch with lots of nostalgia.

…that those same people would point out as well… such as unexpected castings… usually someone who was thought to be white in the books but was the actor casted was a POC. Another thing those people would point out was sexuality of some characters.

To not go into it all and cut to the relation to MAGA chuds reacting to the Odyssey, when I would check profiles of people reacting negatively to WoT… they were usually right-wing or MAGA. Which surprised me cause I didn’t know they could read.

When the Wheel of Time show was done, this same kind of shit happens.

Now - I will point out that stuff was changed in the show that made it different from the books in some ways (I was cool with this, some were not). I argued that it was a 15 book epic fantasy and it’d be pretty impossible to create a 1-1 adaptation of the books into a live action. Those who were not cool with it would always start with “it doesn’t follow the books” argument… however, there was always other underlying reasons

It’s the inside unit, outside compressor unit, new pad, cleaning the ducts, electrical fixes… basically the whole shebang. The old system is from the late 70s.

11k on a new central air unit. Been living off a couple window units for a year in Texas while I saved. People go “finance it yada yada yada” uh no, fuck another bill that takes years to pay off.

I don’t have the money to spent on the outfit to modify colors… this is just the online shop where you can preview outfits. This is about the closet I could get. Pretty cool imo

This makes me think of the Drakania class from Black Desert… I’ll have to play with the character design on mine and see if I can post it. This design is pretty cool and inspiring.

Her husband, Julien, is still making his content and is a good alternative. He’s fun to watch and has a good personality. Mostly streams games with friends and shows off his hobbies.

That’s pretty much the same thing that happened to Alfred Wegener when he proposed his idea of Continental Drift… the press and scientific community. He wasn’t recognized for his ideas until after his death unfortunately.

…something like that can really cause misconceptions on how long it really takes for the earth’s plate to move and there be significant change.

As a science teacher, I always try to emphasize the geological timescale and compare it to something students can picture easily. Cosmos does this well with using a year representing the 13.8 billion years of the universe… and 23 seconds of the year being human history.

People have a lot of difficulty perceiving huge amounts of time like that.

Anyway… in one of the Ice Age movies, the squirrel pulls an acorn out of the ice and within seconds the entire earth shifts around… it’s hilarious but
