#9 In my experience it's more like summers turned into a shit show over time. When I was in school we got early school out for heat every now and then. I still remember the discussions, when that would be, 30 or 32 °C or something. 35°C was a rare occasion. Nowadays we got 30°C+ for weeks at a time and 35°C is basically happening a few days every summer now. By the standards of back then getting early school out would be a daily occurrence for weeks. No, summers really *were* better than today.

#9 Generally agree but also seems fair to note that 20+ years ago they often weren’t so miserable with extreme weather, crazy invasive bugs, etc.
Growing up I also didn’t know a lot of houses with overkill AC keeping it like >30° cooler than outdoors which feels nice inside but makes going outside so much worse (body struggles to adjust).
Add in the crazy social factors and notification of everything and it gets downright oppressive.

Most of the frustration can be handled by setting up so pants/shirts can be layed flat and the rest can be tossed in drawers. The need for careful folding is mostly about fitting clothes into smaller space. Less clothes, I usually aim to keep only about two laundry loads each of “regular” cottons etc and “delicates” so everything gets washed on those two settings, simplifies storage & avoids backlog. I hang for space and easy access but could just lay flat on bed and put back flat in basket.
