I was kinda upset about getting older when I hit 30. Then I started getting called “daddy” by the twinks and I realized… this is actually working out in my favor. I’m aging a lot better than I realized and I have the dad vibe. Generally not into twinks but I approached 40 and now the cubs and jock boys call me daddy too. I’m not upset with how this is going.
I'm working on getting rid of the dad bod, not just aestetics but my health and sexlife was suffering because of my weight. It's a hard battle dude ngl.
yeaahhh I get it. I need to get back on top of those efforts as well. I know I've done it before, but... slightest hint of other stress in my life and the maintenance falls apart T-T And we all know how well the not having stress in life as a gay trans american is going.
No pressure, small steps forward. I started off just by snacking and drinking less. Lost r'the tiniest bit of weight but that was enough to push me over the edge to continue.
Depending on the season, twinks may seek the comfort of a hibernating bear, or flock with other twinks to the nearby watering hole. There is always safety in numbers, but mating season can cause increased hostility within the tight group.
“Young, dumb, and full of cum,” is the traditional descriptor from my own twink days, but for outsiders, the easiest way to describe a twink is an Abercrombie and Fitch model. Young, skinny, clean shaven. You can’t put too much muscle on a twink, lest you end up with a twunk.
A twink is a gay man who is usually slight and slim and often very openly gay with a style to their walk and talk, ya know. Not dissimilar to a femboy, just less fem.
I'm a dad, I read all of the replies, and I've been dealing with this kind of issue for a while now. Give yourself permission to protect your calm. Care and responsibility are a two way street. You don't have to put up with abuse because you OWE anyone. Build your circle of people you want in your circle and who want to be there. Nobody is automatically included, and toxicity can be purged guilt free.
I'm not speaking to mom anymore (it's complicated) but I also don't want her to be ALONE IN HER OLD AGE. But I've already 'left' her once before and came back and I don't want to change my mind a second time so I dont know if I should a) stop worrying about her or B) maybe send gifts but just not TALK to her.
What's the issue with her? Just don't get along or is she like toxic I guess they say? I'm going something similar with my dad who is starting to show signs of dementia. Kinda thankful his filter has disappeared because it just proves he was always a cunt , but a cunt with not enough confidence to speak his shitty opinions lol
Toxic and in denial. So is my brother. A lot of my friends still don't know I have a brother that's how little I speak to him. I only have his contact information and me mine in case something happens to mom, or you know legal reasons and all that. Although from what she last told me he's the executor etc. Which I don't mind because she has nothing and he's closer than I am at to where she is
Denial about her behavior? Yeah fuck all that. I remember my dad saying he'd kick me out if I kept saying our family was dysfunctional. They take it as a personal attack and you know what? Maybe they should. Do you guys all live in the same area? Why aren't you close with your brother?
I work in elder care and there are a lot of estranged folks. Some of them, it's complicated - so they still make friends with nurses, or other patients. A lot only get visits from friends, not family. Some of them it's not very complicated at all, because they just are not nice people.
Some amount of loneliness is unfortunately just about a guarantee for elders due to how care systems work, and it's something you and I will experience too. But there are far more variables than family at play.
Not really. I guess there's the 'so she doesnt forget she has a daughter' when age catches up with her. But not for me, but for her. That kind of ties into the first thing though.

I got that energy and body to match. My discord friends call me Dino Dad and I love it

I always thought Twinks went for worldly Sugar Daddies.

SlyMrFox
See, I thought it was interchangeable with femboy.
andaraven
And there would be an overlap, but generally, twinks are less fem, more flair

Been missing my dad. He was able to fix anything and I need some problems fixed.

Probably. I dont HATE her either. Maybe if I take it like those christmas shoeboxes to children in africa - anonymous to make someone be happy.

These parent-child relationships can be fraught, especially with emotionally immature parents. It’s not your responsibility to hold it together

Yeah.
At times I think it's cause she... Doesn't argue back? Doesn't admit she was wrong? She just said Ok last time I said how I felt.
Bah. Anyways. Tysm for the response. I'll send a few anonymous gift packets at least to ease my conscience.

Hey,
Please remember Just because she birthed* you It’s not your job to keep her company.
If she is toxic to you and others you are more than allowed to cut ties without guilt.
Is there any other reason to
maintain contact other than her not being alone?
(* or adopted/fostered you )
