"There are people..." Who? So I can tell them specifically to fuck off.

She was on birth control… it failed.
Many people just refuse to try to understand other people’s perspectives.

That's right. Nunya!

“Your choice”

I doubt anyone who was in Fleetwood Mac cares about being hated.

I hope she walked out after her answer

You know, people used to have 6 or 7 kids with the knowledge that "god" was going to kill some of them in childbirth or while young children. Seems to me we are just saving some steps here.

Her body. Her choice. End of.

The sad part is how many red hat women get them (because “I’m an exception!!!”) yet want to deny others. Look, there are times they are necessary, the best choice to make for the mother and fetus, and it’s her choice to make.

Respect.

Don't like abortions? Get pregnant and raise your own baby.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Imagine after all those years, and perhaps lamenting that decision, having someone ask you that question??? Then having to defend yourself on such a personal matter??? What is gained by knowing her answer???? It's not our business.

Yet

Need to champion this and all private decisions:

Mind your own damn business.

"Because that baby might grow up to cure cancer" is the dumbest argument ever. If the baby did cure cancer, some worthless fuck would buy the cure and bury it anyway. Also, that kid more likely will grow up to be Ted Cruz and we don't need that.

"there are people that think you, as a woman, need to constantly feel shame about anything you do, and you're not qcting ashamed. How do you justify that?" Um, maybe by telling those folks to mind their fucking business, and stop expecting women to be kowed and shamed all the fucking time.

With her lifestyle at the time, it was a probably a prudent choice. But why are we talking about this? This happened in 1979. No one that wasn't involved would have probably known, if she wasn't Stevie Nicks. And who brings up abortion in an interview? Knowing the person has had one. I guess bringing up past PERSONAL trauma isn't out of lines anymore. I'm going to stick with some dignity and not do that. Hope you all are with me on that. If not, find a conscience.

Why assume it is traumatic? I agree it is no one's business, but Treating abortion as a traumatic, deep-dark secret perpetuates the problem.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Indeed, in fact most women surveyed say they do not regret thier abortions.

How dare you fucking ask a question like this. This is like asking a trans person whether they've had bottom surgery. Fuck. right. off.

2 years ago | Likes 77 Dislikes 17

they had an interview with Kamala Harris and Norah O'Donnell kept on with the 'viability' angle knowing full well it was either dodge the question or take time to explain the not-so-simple answer that not everything is perfectly black and white tl;dr liberal media my ass

I...don't think it's at all like that. Nicks' abortion is something she's shared and, according to the article, the interview seemed to be about (possibly among other things) her abortion stance and her experience opening up about her abortion. If asked in good faith, I don't think this is an inherently unreasonable or prying question to ask in this context.

The question is valid if you are considering having sex with the person.

2 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 4

Lots of people think they get to ask this question to someone they just met, however, which is NOT okay.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

....sorry, what? Who the f*ck asks someone they plan on have sex with if they've ever previously had an abortion?! Talk about a quick way to a) kill the mood, & b) to lhet ocked right out of her bed forever

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They are referring to asking a trans person whether they've had bottom surgery. Which i feel is a valid question if you're considering having sex with someone. I have 0% desire to ever interact with a penis (other than mine, of course). It's a waste of both our time, if you have a penis, to go home together and find that you have a penis. Doesn't matter how amazing you are as a person, and beautiful as a woman, I'm not interested in a sexual relationship with a penis-haver.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If they've had an abortion in the past??? Do you also ask about miscarriages? Ectopic pregnancies? Endometriosis? Ovarian cysts? Fibroids?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How is it anyone's business but hers? Fuck them.

It isn't...

Meanwhile, Texas is suing other states to get their abortion records to see if any Texan has had an abortion.

No one's business, but, she did go and tell everyone.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 16

Same rules apply. None of your business does not mean you are free from knowing about it. It means you have no SAY about it.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes, she did. Which is fine, you're allowed to tell people about the healthcare you have received. It's no one's business to cast judgement on her for the decisions she made about her own body and life if they only affect her.
