Try living in an oil producing area... you are constantly fighting yourself. "Oh good, prices are down... shit, that's not good" You save at the pump, then next week layoffs make the news.
This isn't a joke. Trump once demanded the Russians and Saudis cutting oil production because prices were so low from the pandemic American oil companies were losing money (costs more for employees here).
It’s stupid either way. Presidents have no power over gas prices. Literally the ONLY time I’ve ever stood up for Trump (I even hate typing that) is when people were blaming him for high gas prices. I thought it important to stay honest and remind people that it’s several other factors that determine prices.
Ehhh, almost right Biden released a bunch of gas to the market from the reserves to drive prices down by increasing supply. GQP flipped out but I guess they've never heard about selling high and buying low.
i had never noticed she actually says "rural poverty"... she really thought that. she really wrote that. she really said that. out loud. and thought it was really going to be some kinds of dunk on brandon¿!¿
Managed a member discount around a month back where an error in entering the discount got me gas for $1.94/gal. Something I didn't even manage back when I was driving to High School (because gas was past $2/gal regularly by then)
I live 50 miles from the refineries in Houston (aka, the North side of Houston vs the South side) and gas is $0.15 - $0.30 cheaper by my house ($2.149 no discounts) than it is outside the gates of the refineries. It's idiotic.
I'm tired of that price war at I-25/119. I just want to be able to go through that exit to go home without lines of people wanting to save a few cents on gas.
Had a conservative billboard in our town complaining about how CA has a $1.20 tax on each gallon. Backfired when people started wondering why our gas was $3.00 more than the next state over. Still won't say what that extra $1.80 a gallon cost is due to, but we all know what it is.

In other parts of the world, they are still paying $7-8/gallon. Oil companies are making huge profits from them and we are still getting screwed.

Every president around the world does this when getting closer to voting they bring gas prices down. So they can win your vote.

The president has control of gas prices

Here comes the Fox News story about how lower gas prices are bad and it’s all Biden’s fault.

Heh, there's a mom & pop gas station near here that is pretty popular. Might be because they sell 104 octane.

Yeah but he did threaten to tax known price gouges a bunch. Sent a letter out to middle dealers and refineries and the prices started to come down.

Feel that is so many ways. The Murphy just east like 2 blocks is usually about the same price and you throw a discount on its the same with no lines.

I think the lowest I’ve seen lately is 2.39 at the conoco at 119 and Pratt pkwy
