Oh. Those are structural support for tomato plants! Sturdier and work better than flimsy cages.

The windows and clear roof provide lots of light. We have trouble regulating hot temps during summer as it is.
We mostly over-winter fragile plants and grow our starts for the spring. We want to get more into year-round greens.
Just spit-balled the angle, and pointed them south. They have no trouble charging two RV batteries on reasonably sunny days.
You’re likely referring to the overflow bypass coming from the top of the barrels? When they get full, those pipes spill to a rain garden.
I’m in Oregon. If we have plenty of anything, it’s rain.

Prudent concern. I need to do some pipe insulation work this summer when we empty them out.
We had a hard freeze which busted the pipe inside. Fortunately the water in the pipe was still frozen so I capped it for repair this summer.
