Weekend Firewood Shed

I build a firewood shed in a spot where nothing was growing.

Dog tax right away. He lays in the way of absolute everything. I didn’t know the exact dimensions I wanted it so I was measuring my block placement with two pieces of wood. It ended up being just under 4 feet wide which is just enough space for two layers of firewood. The length was determined by how far the side hill went up. I had to move the boarder blocks forward about 2 feet to accommodate this shed. I tried growing plants here before but nothing was too impressive.

Rough outline. Not where the boards will be but used them to plumb and level.

Posts are in. 6ft 6in in front and 6 feet in back. I put the bottom base on and started the side slats. I also learned a rain barrel needs to be cleaned every so often.

Roof. Adding shingles later. I left juuuust enough space behind for a step later behind to be able to do it. Plus the space will not impede my dog’s squirrel patrol.

And final product. It turned out a lot better than I imaged. All pressure treated wood. I watched a few YouTubes and just took each step at a time. I will start stacking wood later. Too tired.
