Hey look - it’s climate change

While I agree, the government has not demonstrated that it appropriately uses the death penalty.

+1 for give directly

This video doesn’t demonstrate that the individuals aren’t on their own individual fastest route - surface streets are slow too.

There is something special about your wealth inequality

Looting is a symptom, not the disease

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Sure, but how many of the ‘opportunistic’ were rich? This will happen when wealth inequality is so absurdly high as it is in SA.

O+ who can’t figure out messages- pm me?

Soon without glaciers

Coral reefs feel otherwise, see bleaching

Much more power if you build at scale in the desert

It doesn’t make sense to put solar on individual rooftops, which are all unique and usually not ideal. for the same money you could get/

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We need a lot more

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

To be fair, she referred to space-based solar power (a wild but real idea). connecting to fires & Jewish owners is where it gets nutty

But we learned, and now know more.

Higher mean, higher variance. Climate change isn’t complicated if you’re trying to understand. But they’re not.

There’s talk of including dc lines along highways now too

You measure cost effectiveness by looking at the ratio of $ spent vs mwh produced. You won’t get a higher ratio than giant wind turbines

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Turbine costs the same as a few thousand of these minis, but produces much more energy

5 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 0

Also in the industry- definitely agree. Wind is not modular - you get huge economies of scale when you build larger turbines. One 100m...

Ugh spoiler alert jfc

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How tall are you op

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

technology is much more expensive than existing wind and solar technology. But hopefully with R&D itll come down and the potential is huge

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Expensive, but in large part because we don’t do it at scale yet - it’d come down if we added MWs of capacity. Problem is the whole /1

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not just solar - geothermal too!

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Unfortunately it’s limited by geography and its size. doesn’t make sense without a bunch of utilities with joint ownership, which is hard

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It’s now a pumped storage facility - pumping water to the reservoir when energy is cheap and running it through the turbine when it’s not

If Stacy Abrams isn’t giving up, I shouldn’t either

Didn’t he teach constitutional law at uchicago?
