Most of what I post are things I find on the net that amused me and might amuse others.
it says AI generated at the bottom left, but I'm not certain. This looks pretty real to me.
Can't see the forest for the trees
And ponies. Maybe this year is ponies with guns
so it is ok to vote for a meme today.
Why are you here commenting on a meme instead of voting for people that can fix things?
right on cue.
sure, but that's a sliver of a giant pie.
Yes, but lets not equate the dems and gop. Swimming in a neglected algae filled pool, loaded with mosquito larvae, while nasty, is not the same as swimming in a septic tank. But you are right to bring light to the idea that the dems are not a pristine pool, no matter what they tell you.
I lost my uncle, who I was never able to meet, to the Vietnam war, and that's tragic. The fact that I know so little about the Vietnam war because it was never taught through all my schooling, is also tragic. We should be taught not just the good things, but also the blights on our past. The current gen may have had nothing to do with the past, but letting history fade or "whitewashed" does not help for a better future. Our scars should not be hidden.
oh man, sorry to hear about that! Really hope (if you have one) that your pension is ok. They seem amazing (vs 401k) but then I hear horrible things about total pension collapse with 80 yr olds having to go back to work :( FIL was union now retired on pension and so far ok.
I don't expect much of myself as is! I work in a field that is greatly impacted by federal funding so the past 1.5 years of "fun" has had some impacts on the good ol mental health.
Cause I didn't know her beyond the image in my favorite's folder.
Not a bot but thanks. I lose track of time with my job.
Sadly, I can't grow hydrangeas where I live.
I have no personal need for using your work, but I love that you do it for others!
FYI, you can set an upload to private, not public.
But a wonderful day to have fantastic moobs!
This had a shitty added audio track, so I uploaded without sound.
Hi, it’s me, your wife. I’d love it if you would make this for me!
I agree. Everyone deserves a livable wage, but using TIPS is not the right way IMO. Just pay people livable wages.
Managers exist for a reason. Fire the lazy/shitty ones, pay everyone fairly. Using customer tips as a performance review (at best, and raw guilt at worst) is just passing your job as a manager onto the customer.
the federal minimum cash wage for tipped employees (waiters) is $2.13 per hour, provided tips bring the total hourly earnings to at least the $7.25 federal minimum. If tips fail to meet this, the employer must pay the difference. However, many states require higher base pay (for exampl up to $17.13/hr in WA), with several requiring full state minimum wage before tips.
Credit card tips are fully tracked and taxed automatically. The only "loophole" is cash tips, which are a shrinking share of an already niche income stream. The actual unreported cash tip pool is maybe $2-4B nationally. At a 22% tax rate, we're talking $500M in federal revenue against a $7 trillion budget. That's not even a rounding error. I'd rather a transparent menu price rather than guilt driven tip culture.
This is the same phenomena that makes oil slicks on water look like a rainbow. And it's the principle behind making optical mirrors with very high damage thresholds (metal mirrors absorb some energy) and very high reflectivity mirrors.
If it happened in 2026, ICE would sweep you up as a terrorist and ship you off to Somalia or similar.
From what I read (and I want to be clear, this is currently in the speculation real, not verified fact), there was a small fire set first. Sprinklers went off. First responders arrived and shut off sprinklers according to protocol as fire was under control. Then multiple fires were set by the individual while the fire suppression system was down. Everything worked as it should have.
