The person who posted this (Benn Jordan) has a really interesting YouTube channel. Super smart guy. He's been all over flock for a while now.

Pretty sure this is south Korea, looked like hangul on their shirts, not kanji.

It's only Pepper's ghost if it comes from the Disney region of California. Otherwise it's spicy apparition.

#10 as a man I will occasionally say "not all men", followed by a sigh and "but always men". Some of us are okay, many of us are not. Some of it isn't our fault, a lot of it is. We can do better, patriarchy hurts everyone.

The historical consensus on Cleopatra's appearance is a shrug. Nobody is really sure exactly who her direct antecedents were. Maybe she was light skinned, maybe not, historians genuinely don't know. Lots of sources on this out there.

I lost my wife of 19 years two weeks ago. She was my best friend and the absolute best part of my life. Everything feels pointless without her there to share it with me. Losing her has totally and completely hollowed me out. I’m glad you’re still here and you’re doing the best you can. I don’t have to imagine how hard it’s been for you, I only hope I find a way through as well.

Why do you think finding someone requires that? Why do you think no one can love you for who you are?

Yes, very invasive, and no natural predators. They’re a huge, huge problem. The meat is safe, and delicious, to eat, as long as you avoid the spines.

Spear gun. Lots of dive companies bring them on dives where there are lion fish. I’ve speared a couple and then eaten them as ceviche after the dive.

See, this is why I get so mad when the media portrays Mexico as some third world hellhole. Sure, it’s got problems, some of them large, but this kind of stuff is the real day to day of Mexico, Mexicans are lovely and it’s generally a nice place to live. Source: American living here for 10+ years.

Same. I never understood how anyone enjoyed it. Terrible floppy crust, terrible cheese, worse sauce.

It’s like 4 different cars, starts with a Nissan, shows a Renault steering wheel at one point.

The first time we visited Japan we stayed with a woman in Kanazawa and we asked why every single thing had a cute cartoon mascot (like dog poop, fire hazards, temples, shopping districts, everything) and she was like “what?”. Totally immune, not even aware of it. More noticeable to not have a mascot than anything else, apparently.

Same. It worked ok, not terribly consistent, but not well enough to put up with the discomfort. I’d rather something easy like the mouth guard, but the CPAP works better.

#10 solved a problem no one was having, and also a lot of beaches don’t allow glass bottles because they end up broken in the sand.

“Do not build the torment nexus”
But surely it’s okay if we do it?

Seeing stones created for benevolent use later corrupted by evil, yes. It’s always struck me as very on the nose as names go, like just saying the quiet part out loud. Never gonna trust a company that thought this was the right name.

It's so much bigger than it even seems here. In person it's incredibly impressive.

If you like the guava, see if you can find Boing brand guava (guayaba). It’s the absolute best.

Mexico is plenty rich. It's currently the 15th richest country in the world by GDP, and has been higher. Corruption is the issue, every level of government is mine-bogglingly corrupt, top to bottom.

I lived there from ‘01 until ‘12, there was a place in an east Nashville strip mall called Prince’s that had been there for a long time (it was the better of two places to get it), just a lady with four cast iron frying pans. Her chicken was crazy good, and quite spicy. By the time I left there was a hot chicken festival, it went from local secret to national thing really fast.

In Mexico pushups are called "lagartijas", little lizards.

I was going to say, it’s a weird example, since the horizon games are extremely good.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No, but there are, in fact, two distinct horizon games (as named above). Both excellent.

I hated Steppenwolf. Hesse really crawled up his own ass with that one.

Roasting or pan-frying is the way. They get very nutty and delicious.
