I despise the more traditional Turkish delight I’ve had because I can’t stand the taste of rose water. But goddamn are applets and cotlets good.
The point is learning how to process real life trauma via fictional trauma. Not learning swimming is only good if you never leave the desert and there's never a flood; very few people will grow up to not encounter powerful negative emotions and troubling scenarios.
