I don't think you'll be able to quote any Democratic representative or official that has ever said that.
But atheism isn't claiming god definitely doesn't exist, it's just a lack of belief in a god existing. You're either stating atheism wrong, or have only encountered some wrong-headed atheists.
Normally I'd just post directly to the comic site, but it doesn't list the date the comics were posted.
Trump would try and get Antarctica to pay to fix the ozone layer...
In Office Space, the main character is working on fixing Y2K bugs.
This comic is 17 years old... https://www.explainxkcd.com/wiki/index.php/607:_2038
the IPv4 space is pretty near exhausted in terms of the public internet. We're using a lot of workarounds to keep it running, with some of those, like NAT, having some side benefits. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPv4_address_exhaustion#Post-exhaustion_mitigation
Yesh, it was an immediate enough of a problem to get the attention, and to be fair, a lot of companies and organizations waited until really close to the deadline to start fixing it.
To be fair, we punched a giant hole in it before we realized we needed to do something about it. So we fixed it, but we didn't prevent it. I guess we stopped it before it broke "horribly," since only Antarctica and Australia were affected, and who cares about those continents right? ;)
Technically atheism is "I don't BELEIVE in a god," since the word is a compound of "a" = "lack" and "theism" = belief, just like agnostic is "a" = lack and "gnostic" = know. It's possible to be both an atheist AND agnostic.

I don't HAVE to prove a god exists, anymore than I have to prove there's no teapot orbiting the sun between Earth and Mars. The onus is on the person making an extraordinary claim to prove it, otherwise the default is to assume it's not true. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russell%27s_teapot
You may be hearing only some really vocal atheists. There's plenty of us that don't really care what you believe, as long as you're not impeding our rights, and just live our lives day-to-day without "preaching" about it. It's like how Christianity has been co-opted by vocal fascists trying to force their version down everyone's throats. Don't judge the entire group by a small number of vocal proponents.
The Satanic Temple is a church that is atheistic in nature. Co-founder Malcolm Jarry stated that the idea of starting a Satanic faith-based organization was first conceived to meet "all the Bush administration's criteria for receiving funds, but was repugnant to them". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Satanic_Temple
Note that humanism is separate from atheism, as atheism is simply a lack of belief in gods/religion, while contemporary humanism is a philosophy that refers to a non-theistic view centered on human agency, and a reliance only on science and reason rather than revelation from a divine source to understand the world. You don't have to be a humanist to be an atheist, but most atheists are humanists. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Humanism
They don't want "historical accuracy," they want everything to conform to their white supremacist world view, and will use any argument to advance it in a given situation, even if it contradicts themselves elsewhere.
They'll learn about slavery.... as the nice white people rescuing the poor blacks from poverty in Africa and giving them jobs! Then the ungrateful wretches demanded "freedom," turning against their benevolent masters and causing needless destruction fighting for it, then once they got freedom they immediately started mooching off the government and wasting their money on drugs and alcohol and shooting each other. The white supremacist version of history.
Yeah, that clip is only part of it. They went to Famous Famiglia Pizzeria, a chain, which is slightly better than Sbarro's. Jon Stewart said it's "fine," but then listed a dozen better pizzerias in NYC. Here's the full clip: https://www.cc.com/video-clips/0ect4f
It reads like satire. It's a subtle "you know, you can think for yourself instead of asking ChatGPT about every little thing that happens in your life" jab.
It's a comedic bit with him going overboard. He even breaks at the 1:20 left mark. It lead to a fake "feud" with Chicago that ended amicably. https://www.nbcchicago.com/news/local/jon-stewart-declares-truce-with-chicago-pizza/2047864/
You were too distracted by having all that apple juice.
They were hating on the movie before anyone had seen it. It was entirely bitching about the casting.
I think they're dunking on the boomer CEOs making those AI mandates for their employees. So much of AI adoption in corporations is fueled by FOMO, with no clear understanding of the use cases, or any hope of ROI.
If reincarnation worked according to karma, like it's said to, they may actually start acting decently to avoid being a slug in the next life, or worse, a person in one of the lower classes they repeatedly abused.
I used to like trans folk. I still do, but I used to as well.
I'm willing to credit him as a major influence on the Cybertuck, aka WankPanzer.
It's enough to get a loan for actual money, using the "promise of money" as collateral, and then just pay the interest and get a tax deduction. When the loan comes due, refinance using the increased value of your wealth. It's the “Buy, Borrow, Die” Strategy. https://dcfpi.org/all/how-wealthy-households-use-a-buy-borrow-die-strategy-to-avoid-taxes-on-their-growing-fortunes/
Technically, Trump and Q-Anon created MTG. She didn't get into politics until after Trump got elected in 2016, and she wasn't elected until 2020. She definitely enabled him for years until he crossed her own personal line, the Epstein files. She was ok with a lot of other horrible shit Trump did though.
