Just your friendly neighborhood surfer.

There are no people in it. A world without people is not a good thing.

People are petty, and refuse to look deep at true meaning.

I doubt it.

I hope you're happy. I deleted all the tim cartoons. They didn't seem to be positive in my eyes.

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

They seem to be valid, how they were made is irrelevant. As is, they certainly don't seem to be positive for ai. Maybe I'm missing something. I have a feeling this tim guy is an idiot and doesn't understand the point of his own stuff.

I have no idea who timoelliot is. I hadn't even noticed it.

WHERE!

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

I'm afraid I have to disagree. That's a mindless pov. Clearly ai can be destructively used. The way they are going to use it is overwhelmingly bad. But there are positive uses. It just needs oversight in a big way. I think the way it is, is a turbo charged leap to Idiocracy. Some how people need to figure out how to tame it. It's like nuclear weapons. It has been invented and won't go away.

Where? None of these support ai.

? I think you are confusing sarcasm with romanticising.

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 7

It's related somehow. I've forgotten how.

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I 've seen this before on Reddit. It's so hard to get people to consider any alternative pov, no matter how valid.

Just read my comments under the cartoons, please.

Crowd Estimates: Reports indicate an estimated attendance of approximately 1,200 people.
Venue Capacity: The Akins Ford Arena has a total capacity of approximately 8,500 people, with about 5,500 permanent seats.

I'm just preoccupied with stuff I'm doing now. No, I'm not a bot, just permanent back pain.

If I break my leg, my children don't get born with broken legs. Traits that are developed after you are born are not inherited. Exactly how intelligence was developed is unknown,

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That is a different subject and out of context. What causes self awareness is up to debate.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

The fact that many a-holes have no f-ing idea of what they are doing is irrelevant. They choose to be an a-hole. This is separate from an objective theory of intelligence.

Experiencing reality is only part of it. Developing empathy is considered essential. There is a lot of discussion about this.

You missed the point. His judgement was solely based on executive order. Period.

'Level 5 vehicles do not require human attention―the “dynamic driving task” is eliminated. Level 5 cars won’t even have steering wheels or acceleration/braking pedals. They will be free from geofencing, able to go anywhere and do anything that an experienced human driver can do. Fully autonomous cars are undergoing testing in several pockets of the world, but none are yet available to the general public.''

These are experiments, and not general practice. The criteria for full self driving is unsupervised (including persons on the internet watching what vehicles are doing). The criteria for true level 5 are very strict and experimental. Tesla fsd is generally regarded as level 2. There is a lot of info on this on the net.

Maybe. I think it's the same thing in the end. Experiencing the real world is what creates self awareness. I think in less than 50 years we will have a better idea of what it is.

Flood is a strong word. I don't see that. Anyway, you just have to be on guard just like any other person.

The crux of the problem is ai cannot experience reality. I think that is the saving grace for people. It simply cannot achieve true ai. I think, it doesn't. I hope I'm right. In the short term I see regulations for ai similar to full driving for cars. I don't think class 5 driving will ever happen, people are too unpredictable for it to work. (flying is different so far) Ai actors will never get Oscars, the people that used ai may get awards for special effects though. Lots of stuff to consider

I think he is either being disingenuous or simply lying. The problem is jobs short term, but long term I see benefits from people understanding facts rather than twisted rationalizations from the right wing. Facts kill lies every time.

It's a valuable collectible. A one of a kind error piece!, Save it in a plastic coffin and offer it on ebay for $10,000,000. People will be fighting for it. Ashens has a regular one on his 20th anniversary video right now.

I don't intend to leave my house until Wednesday at the earliest. It's probably going to melt completely before the end of the week. The ground temperature is not cold enough for it to stay.

I would like to remind people that ai needs to be responsibly used. I made this one because of an idea I had. It came out wonderful. I'm not going to spam people with tons of these.
