This. We need to stop the ignorance on nuclear. Fukushima was a generator location failure, and the last major "disasters" occurred before 2nd gen computing systems even existed. Our vehicles are 10X more advanced than early nuclear power stations.
SMR is developing small nuclear (mobile) reactors that will help save massive amounts of infrastructure (power lines, digging, enviro studies) and radically improve the power supply... Amazon is partnering with them to power server farms, but the applications in rural areas will bring power to villages, drilling sites, exploration hubs, etc.
