After dodging it for three years my number finally came up :( trying not to feel like I'm ruining the holidays for my fam. Just hoping no one else gets it :(

Paxlovid. You don't need a prescription. Just go to the pharmacy. The faster you take it the faster you'll be feeling better and the less damage you'll do to your body, heart, lungs, and brain. Thank fuck I got my vaccine a few weeks ago.

I'm glad it's taken you this long to have it, I've gotten it four times and it's been a unique experience every time. Feel better 💙

I've had it 3 times now. Thankfully it's getting weaker. I have an allergy that makes the shot dangerous for me to get, so I have to just go unprotected. Yay me....

Tuesday, Santa gave me the two strikes aswell. Good thing is, that it seems very mild and is already passing.

Remember you can always lock down like the world did during the pandemic. Room service for the better of the family, you have the internet. You got this.

Yup just grabbed everything I might need and gtfo of the way. I'm calling it 'sequestering myself in the east wing' though so I can feel fancy 🤷‍♀️

Hey okay so important note, the fever can get pretty nasty. If you turn to acetaminophen do NOT exceed 4000mg/day. A lot of people don't realize how close the toxicity dose of acetaminophen is compared to the pill dose. The usual amount in a pill is 300-500mg and most people take 2-3 by standard to break a fever and forget that mucinex ALSO contains it.

Also for the nausea, my dr prescribed a couple weeks of zofran. It's dissolved under the tongue, if you struggle to eat or swallow pills consider it.

Thank you for this ❤️ I'm not feeling very warm but I haven't taken my temperature yet. My usual go to when I'm feeling shitty is DayQuil/NyQuil 👍 I'll keep an eye on the dosages

Alternate between ibuprofen and acetaminophen.

Ibuprofen isn't an amazing fever reducer for covid, better than nothing though. Ibuprofen works best with inflammation and issues stemming from that

It is a fever reducer. And it can reduce headaches and body aches and pain from coughing and inflammation in the respiratory system.

I had it this time last year. Rest up. Stay hydrated and take lots of vitamins, especially vitamin D

Yea I got it about a year ago. Went to work because I kept testing negative. 5 hours later I went home early, and was so low on oxygen I hit the side of my garage pulling up. After going to hospital, it took hours to determine via bloodwork that I had it. Then they just ran fluids and gave me acetaminophen. First 5 days felt like death, and I couldn't keep anything down. Once I was able to eat, ~3 days later it was like nothing happened. I was vaxxed though, can't imagine being unvaxxed...

Then my buddy, who is a professional chef, got it. He had none of the horrible symptoms I did but he lost his sense of taste for almost two months. He thought he was gonna lose his career since he couldnt taste what he was making. Luckily, it came back. But just goes to show how wildly different the virus can affect one person to another.
