I remembered these posts but not the username. I often wonder how many people disappeared from Imgur over the years who didn’t have a chance to make a goodbye post. We can assume they just lost interest, and this place for sure is a pale imitation of its past self so plenty of that happens as well. But so do illnesses and accidents.

We all labor under capitalism. Research, writing, building a studio space, filming, and editing (although many of these short form videos barely use any editing) all take time. And people got bills to pay. Calls to action work. The system is shitty but I can’t blame any individual creator for working within it.
