Honey depends on the flowers its harvested from, coffee plants can produce very dark honey for example.
I would then refinish the whole thing using a thin shellac finish and french polishing, particularly the larger surfaces (3/3)
Veneer chips are large, its possible to get close to colour match with veneer samples & stains, but the grain will be hard to replicate(2/3)
Restored a fair bit as a hobby, the top looks good, I would remove the finish on the top with wire wool and methylated spirit (1/3)

That's not unfair. I promise it's not pink, its actually white marble, but I had it to hand and I needed something to read with.

Its a single wedge in the middle. I removed a wedge & 2 metal wedges from the handle already but the oak wedge split up to fill those gaps
Heres a 1940's army axe I restored, the edges are a bit rough because I wanted to keep the original handle:
That goes in after the wedge if you need it, you should have a wooden wedge down the split in the wood
