Oh god; what have we done?

I agree with the comment.

It's like someone crossed Charlie Brown with Michael Caine

Every lesbian within 20 miles feels a disturbance in the force. I don't know what it is about the extremely short/no hair look that works so well with some people, but it really does.

#3 would be great for dealing with flock cameras. A thing nobody should ever do, of course.

I get it, but like, the expense in question is low 5 digits. I have a feeling they can afford that.

I mean sure, but I'm not talking about opinion or preference. I'm talking about "well actually" from people who are just ... wrong.

Like, this isn't a "this is real italian food" thing. This is a "pretty much every variety of pizza /is/ actually pizza" thing. I really dislike the faux intellectual self superior pedant types who try to say "well technically that's not real pizza". It is, and those people should shut up.

I'm specifically referring to things called pizza in Italy. Like, they have deeper pan pizzas cooked in big cast iron pans. They have rectangular stuff. They do selling by the slice. Even pocket format stuff exists. Also, counter serve pizza in rome has all kinds of toppings that Americans would consider odd. In fact, Pizza al Padellino has a slow bake, slight burn-y thing, with a thicker crust. There are variants without cheese, fried variants

The Marco Polo thing is a myth. They both got it from the Middle East, and both had pasta before Marco Polo was born.

I mean, most regional pizzas in America are derived from a regional Italian thing. That includes pub style pizza, New York, Detroit, and yes, deep dish. Deep dish is closer to some stuff in the Sicilian region. Frankly, if you're of the belief that Neapolitan is the "objectively correct" pizza, and everything else is a bastardization of that, then you are mistaken.

So yes, it is a violation to disclose medical records outside of those circumstances, and it has been since the 90s.

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, that's for medical reasons. HIPAA prohibits disclosures outside of medical reasons. "Other hospital has you as a patient" is a valid reason to share records. "The government wants to root around in the records" is not. Without a healthcare reason [specifically "treatment, payment, or healthcare operations"], disclosure requires your signed permission. That's the law in the US.

Also remember, especially if you're actually left of center: If you're not armed, you're not peaceful, you're harmless

If you want real gun control, stop pretending some of them are magically bad and others are magically fine, and look at:
- Red flag laws
- Closing bg check loopholes
- Mandatory locking storage for any household with anyone under 18 in it
- Mandatory basics course for FOID card, and more advanced courses for carry permits
- Mandatory psych eval for FOID card

It /is/ one of the most common long guns used in events, but ... it's also the most owned long gun in America. If we assumed there was no functional bias, meaning no gun was more preferred than any other, we would statistically expect the most owned gun to be the most used gun, and ... that's what happens. That's all that's going on.

I'm inclined tos die more with lefty gun clubs, and less with "this particular one /looks/ scary, so we should ban it". The AR-15 is commonly chambered in 5.56 or .223, also known as ... the smallest bullet rifles are commonly capable of handling. It doesn't have special powers that make it more capable, either. It's not even the most used weapon in school or mass events, because that would be handguns.
