The wolves in my head say “no”
I hate that antibiotic. When I was working as a vet tech, it was not a common prescription we dispensed but every now and then a case called for it. It was one of few antibiotics that needed to be handled with great care because it could cause aplastic anemia that couldn’t be reversed. Just by handling the medication.
I’m 42 and have been extremely vocal about my hate for this gimmicky-ass AI bullshit for over 3 years now. I used to get downvoted for being anti-AI but I am so glad people are seeing the silicone valley snake oil for what it is and the grifters and frauds for who they are. I’m glad people are realizing how much damage AI is capable of doing toward society and the environment. I am so glad people are getting loud and AI CEOs are feeling the backlash and hate for their avarice.
I’ve hated him since the beginning too. I remember saying “that man should never have power” to a group of friends and they all disagreed with me claiming he was “innovative” and a “visionary.” He certainly proved me right. I’m not at all happy about it.
How do you like Bulgaria? I’m in the US but applying for citizenship since my Grandma was Bulgarian. A bunch of my cousins are too! We might all be returning to the old country soon:)
My brother and I watched this movie waaaaaaay too young. We loved Dr. Alan Grant and were excited to see him in another movie… until we weren’t… and scarred for life. I was 12 but my brother was only 6
Proof that we did not become the dominant species without alien intervention. I wonder if they regret that decision?
Oh, also, it’s always good to reinforce solid recall and I would recommend calling your pup in before hand and rewarding that most excellent behavior:)
When it is stupid hot (I lived in Vegas for a few years) it is best to limit outdoor exposure. Early morning sun and maybe some evening basking is okay. Your dog will be better acclimated to the heat, living in Arizona, but it’s not worth the risk, IMHO. If the coat is plush (double coat instead of single layer) then there’s actually better protection from the heat. But still, from 11-6 in the summer desert heat, I would really limit your dog’s outdoor time.
Absolutely! This basset hound is just enjoying the bask:) A dog suffering from heat stroke is in major distress, but there are tell-tale signs before they’re in danger. Excessive panting, hyper salivation, ropey saliva, lethargy, stumbling (ataxia) and bright red or pale gums. It gets worse from here and if the first signs are ignored, the dog will be in crisis
Yeah, this dog is perfectly content and has access to shade. Usually the dogs that suffer are the ones trapped in a car or pushed to exertion in temps higher than they’re acclimated to. I have also seen a couple horrors (was a vet tech for 17 years) related to dogs kenneled in crates and left in direct sunlight in the SoCal summer
of doing a necropsy (under vet supervision) on a dog that died of heat stroke and the internal body temperature was insane. Abdominal organs liquified. It was horrendous—that smell. I absolutely hate seeing dogs suffer in the heat. Rule of thumb, if your dog lays down in the shade, you stop with them and wait until they’re ready. Especially with younger/older dogs, certain breeds (brachycephalic/achondroplastic dwarf), and dogs that aren’t acclimated to heat 2/2
Former vet tech of 16 years and animals absolutely suffer from heat stroke. Certain breeds of dogs are more likely to suffer from heat stroke due to their anatomy (lots of loose skin or short muzzle—brachycephalic). They do run hotter than we do, average temp is usually 100° to 102° for dogs and cats but once they get to 106°-107° they’re in trouble. Heat stroke is best treated with tepid-cool water as cold water/ice will restrict blood vessels and trap heat. I’ve had the miserable experience1/
I love how they grow into their feet and ears.
Me too. I just find it hard to believe a panpipe would be loud enough to be heard over all the other instruments. Especially the strings…
Can confirm. Nearly $7.00 where I live.I consider it a good day when I can get gas at $6.50. And this is regular gas, not premium. Ffs…
Striped hyenas are very shy and don’t have large clans the way spotted hyenas do. Spotted hyenas have the jaw strength to devour bones. Not sure about striped hyenas…
Fine. I guess… I was really hoping we could pull this one off. But no, no… just have to go back to summoning Cthulhu
My initial reaction was: I sure hope there is water in that rock quarry, lol. Sounds like our families think a lot. Glad we survived to tell our tales.
I was taught how to swim this way. It’s incredible how strong the will to survive is. And also, how instinctive it is to dog paddle. There were no lifeguards on duty for me that day…
Cromulent. Such a perfectly cromulent word
I follow several artists on IG and the majority are probably men and they certainly want it well established that their art is human made. Maybe follow more artists?
I feel like i could see my reflection on those shoes. How incredible! And I can’t believe you got 3rd?? Who got 1st? Michelangelo?
A lot of the time it’s actually done to prove a human made the art. Especially the pictures showing the process. Also, she is proud of her art and should be!
This is very true. Stress hormones ruin meat. I grew up in Montana eating locally slaughtered beef—the cows were treated humanely until the day they died, never were jammed in a truck and were never crammed in a feedlot or stressed at a slaughterhouse. Guess what, I’m a vegetarian now. Can’t stand the taste of store bought meat. My dad was also a hunter (food not trophy) and he never took a shot unless he knew it was a kill shot because the stress on the elk ruined the meat.
I could do this in my 20s maybe even 30s but now in my 40s, muthafuckin plantar fasciitis and chilblains. Probably from doing this kind of stuff when I was younger. Glad I have a man who doesn’t care what’s on my feet because I have to wear mostly flats and sneakers now. High heels are for very special occasions, especially stilettos. I do love some of my kitten heels for more casual nights out though.
Just get behind the line, wtf does that even mean? Never mind what I say, you do what I tell you??? Naaaaah, pound sand, get rotated bish.
Im commenting so I can find this comment later. Solid links
It would actually be good to preserve it as a reminder about how easy it is for fascism to destroy democracy. I used to hike to a place in the Santa Monica Mountains called Murphy Ranch. It is nearly destroyed due to urban decay and some of it has been bulldozed but I wish it were preserved because it’s a Nazi compound. It was built by fascist Americans as a stronghold for the eventual nazi takeover. It should have been preserved and stood as a reminder about the dangers of fascism.
This picture looks like the remnants of a dystopian hellscape. Which is apropos. Return the earth to its primordial state. Sink and decay what’s left of the stain of humanity. Seriously, I don’t know what kind of fuckwit would look at this image and find peace and comfort. A psychopath, maybe? Fuuuck it.
I did not and just woke up my husband.
