I'm mostly here to show pictures of my Husky, Mina. Mina finds it offensive that you assume she's a drama queen, just because she's a Husky. I mean, she is a drama queen, but that's not true of every Husky. It just happens to be true in her case.

This is what Joe Strummer trained you for

#6 As someone who has embracing his squirrel brain, I look down my nose at those ADHD people who still mask.

At least, until the RFK squad comes to take me to the work camps.

I don't think we ever saw any Greys on screen, at least that I recall. But there were definitely ships (one wrecked and a few intact), and there was all the plotline episodes in seasons... 7 and 8?... dealing with the clones / replacements / alien hybrid things trying to control all the world's governments.

And they work (to some extent) because every time I see one, I want some ramen.

Usually not for the brand being advertised, though, as AFAIK many of them are only sold through weird online outlets in the US, or at some specialty shop that's much further away than I want to travel for some ramen.

As an American who has watched the stupid beetles kill seven of nine trees in my yard over the last couple of years, I can both sympathize (because invasive species are annoying as hell) and be slightly jealous that the Germans are getting much cuter invasive species than us.

#25 I'm pretty sure this is discussed in one of the MERPS rulebooks; that's pretty close to the scenario there.

#1 Most of the time, nobody is thinking about me at all.

And most of the time, I'm quite fine with that. The more time I spend with just my dog the more time I want with just my dog. If only I didn't still have to go to work...

Most countries reserve the right to stop foreign flagged vessels in their own waters, and will stop foreign flagged vessels "approaching" their waters on suspicion of smuggling.

The difference, of course, is that most countries will do that for cocaine, not food being brought to starving civilians.

To be fair, for better than a decade, my total debt was more than my yearly income (i.e. I had a mortgage and a car loan, and made less in a year than I still owed).

The difference, of course, is that I took on that debt to buy a house, and then slowly paid it down. I didn't keep borrowing more every year to continue buying toys (Lego, in my case; aircraft carriers in Uncle Sam's).

#17 If I put all my Lego collections up there I'd only get close enough to see how dusty they were when I went to put a new one up there.

Allow me to express my feelings on this with a picture of my most recent tattoo

#8 My ultimate fantasy is not running into racists, homopobes, or religious zealots almost every time I leave the house.

Gas station? Oh yeah. Grocery shopping? You better believe it. Work? No doubt.

Oh, look at this person, with willpower and everything, lording it over the rest of us who need our little treats (and then another, and then another...)

They didn't exactly rush it out the door; with how long Season 1 took to film, 4 full seasons would have taken them over a decade (and no matter how good they get with makeup some of the characters would be hard to keep looking the right age).

#3 I'm glad I wasn't the only one!

Although I started right at 9PM, so I had it done around 1.

#18 This sounds great, but I can think of several times I was nice to somebody and later came to regret it, because that person sucked. (And not in a fun, wink-wink, nudge-nudge kinda way, you know?)

#8 One really awesome night with a space elf in exchange for eternal damnation?

Hmm....

Hold on, hold on, still thinking....

Doing it through a commercial channel with the (apparent) intent to avoid record keeping requirements is pretty bad, too.

I might have given them "reasonably" a decade or so ago.

Today? No, DVS is right.

They really are very large, damp ferrets. I love them.

That's Mandarin. You're thinking of either of the halves of the chewing/crushing organ in an arthropod's mouth.

#11 If I pick England to disappear, does that mean I can never get another tomboy girlfriend, or that I just have to work to get another one?

The funny part is that the military has encouraged male servicemembers to get married for decades - because, especially for mid-career NCOs, being married makes it way more likely they will re-enlist.

Nobody is immune to propaganda, but not everyone is susceptible to the same propaganda.

There are innate personality traits that correlate with political leanings; the kind of propaganda that works on a more conservative person does not work as well on a more liberal person (and vice versa). I'm so far left the label "liberal" offends me; the Fox News style "woo scary immigrant" doesn't do it for me.

(The "woo scary rich dude" does work on me a bit too much.)
